forum going slow
Re: forum going slow
Annoyingly, I can't sign on to the forum via my phone as it has deemed this site unsafe. I've been through the phone settings and still no joy. Any tips on how o overcome this, I've got an android phone.
It just means i'll have to be more productive at work and nobody wants that to happen...

Don't think that would a phone or OS issue but rather an issue with your Web browser mate.Nos89 wrote: ↑Thu Aug 23, 2018 11:17 amAnnoyingly, I can't sign on to the forum via my phone as it has deemed this site unsafe. Re: forum going slow
Yeah if I use laptop or broadband with my phone it’s deathly slow or doesn’t work. Turn off wi-fi or using 4G when I’m out and about and works fine.
Been like that for about 3-4 months. Odd as my broadband is fine and no issue with any other sites or downloads.

Re: forum going slow
My own theory (which could be totally wrong) is that the amount of pop ups and adverts is somehow slowing down page loading on different access paths like WiFi 4G etc dependent upon which type of adblocker software we each use.
Re: forum going slow
Thank you. Seems odd that I never had a problem until I changed my phone. No issue with signing into anything else just this forum and same browser. No doubt its something blindingly obvious.DB10GOONER wrote: ↑Wed Aug 29, 2018 5:50 pmDon't think that would a phone or OS issue but rather an issue with your Web browser mate.Nos89 wrote: ↑Thu Aug 23, 2018 11:17 amAnnoyingly, I can't sign on to the forum via my phone as it has deemed this site unsafe. I think they only allow you to download, not upload, Rodders.

The new phone might have come with stricter factory setting content controls set in the browser package? Just a guess tbh.Nos89 wrote: ↑Sun Sep 02, 2018 11:51 pmThank you. Apparently, browser wasn't picking up the https setting just the http which I hadn't noticed. Thanks for suggestions. I can now go back to pretending to do some work, rather than actually doing some work.DB10GOONER wrote: ↑Mon Sep 03, 2018 6:02 amThe new phone might have come with stricter factory setting content controls set in the browser package? Seriously get yourself Adblock as it cuts out all the shit which slows your pc down - the transformation is amazing instant loading of pages once more.
