Ramsey, Bellerin, Holding and Mustafi have picked up where they left off last season. Yes, that bad.
Smith-Rowe looks like the new and improved Jack wileshire and has a great first touch.
Laca has a terrible first touch and shouldn’t play as the main striker when Auba is on the same pitch.
Sideshow Bob, the young French guy looks full of confidence and is basically dictating play but has made a few errors which could cost us in a EPL match.
So there you have it. 75% possession, 4 shots to Atheltico’s one shot yet we go in losing 1-0, and with a defence looking like a Sunday league side could slice it open.
Are we sure Wenger left the club in the summer and isn’t just wearing an Unai Emery mask?
The lad Smith-Rowe got a run out at BW the other week and looked very sharp and keen as well as having bundles of ability. He is one to keep an eye on this season. Oh and he's just scored.

You would go a long, long way to find 3 worse penalties than the ones we have just missed

under the old regime, Smith Rowe would be dropped for the next game for shooting from outside the box.
happy days.

Re: v Athletico Madrid
What i would expect from a pre season run out really.I liked Emerys animation on the touchline... and whilst we looked shaky at times defensively Rome was not built in a day.At least Emery was making the defenders aware of the line and pushing up. I think we may have lost this 2-1 before the pens under wenger. The Lacazette up top with Auba out wide thing could well be binned soon if Lacazette does not sharpen up though.I know pre season is the time to try things but Auba needs to be central imo and Lacazette needs to improve basically whatever position he plays in or he might just find his position is on the bloody bench! Also there are others still to come back so overall i am optimistic.
