AFC v chav scum in aviva 01/08/18

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

habits are difficult things to change. I think that's why Dick has kept them out there.

reality bites. I don't reckon bellerin will be starting in Stockholm.

We have seriously never looked like scoring in this match, some of the build up play has been good but again we lack the end product when needed.

Pre-season or not i expect more this close to the start of the season especially with some big games so early....... and then we score

Believe me, I am not wishing doom and gloom but fuck me, he will need a few seasons to get this lot shipshape, not easy clockie.... :?

Aside from the defensive problems, Miki has been poor in every match he's played.

I think it is going to be a tough watch at the start of the season i have the feeling that the old habits are going to take a while to iron out, Dick must be given a chance because the poor defending isn't going to go away quickly after years of poor management :rubchin:

exactly right. we have never defended as a team since PV4 left. nor did we practice man to man marking.

hopefully they will shape up or be shipped out at xmas.

it was a nice cross from Reiss Nelson.

I think we've been practising penalties, not one of our players looking nervous at all :barscarf: :barscarf:

Christ on a bike - Cech saves one and Iwobi scores the decisive penalty for the win :barscarf:
Who’d have thunk that ?

Cech making two penalty saves in a match must equal his record for us overall
