Completely agree, the amount of times they look around cluelessly until someone comes and tackles them is ridiculous. The older more experienced players are trying to play quick one and two touch football but the youngsters are struggling. You see the tap tap sideways legacy of AW when more of our young players are on the pitch.

no sign of the intensity or offball pressure.

They looked like an AW trained team.

I missed the first 20 minutes (inc nelson's goal) and it was what you would expect it to be .......... a decent runout (especially for torreira and Lichtsteiner) but it also raised a few concerns. With about 10 mins left in the game the lazio defender launched a long high ball just inside our half where their centre forward beat sokratis in the air (that shouldnt happen), and their second striker was onto the flick before Mavropanos even reacted (a major no-no in my book) :banghead: Defensively there is loads to be done for sure.

Elnenny continues to show the touch of a rapist  I think part of the problem is that he knows that Guendouzi is outshining him, and in a desperate attempt to show that he is better, he is trying to do stuff that he simply isnt good enough to do  Maitland Niles was solid but he wasted a few great chances to slide the ball in for our strikers when he overlapped. It is very telling that monreal wasnt involved at all

PEA scored again. And we kept a clean sheet.

Also nice to see the vermin get tonked by City’s feeder club Girona.
