Wangers 1-2
Re: other matches this weekend
Wolves ring the changes away at Liverpool. Probably because they only got 48 hours to prepare for this game.
In other words they’ve written this game off so another 3 points for the bin dippers in this shit overrated league .

I will throw that scoreline at the plastic Liverpool fans in work, tell them it is a great result for Liverpool fans to see Gerrard do so well...then watch the misty eyed response about them being Celtic fans because they are Oirish

Re: other matches this weekend
Liverpool 50 points ahead and the fix is still in.
FUCK VAR
FUCK VAR
Re: other matches this weekend
Fucking VAR at Anfield has been disgusting. Liverpool’s disallowed goal being awarded after a check - albeit correctly. But then Wolves equaliser ruled out for 1cm offside which still isn’t clear - even after some faceless fucker draws lines on the screen that are not parallel to the line of the penalty box.
Might as well give Liverpool the trophy now and we can all ***** over them

I wouldn’t be surprised if nuno called his players off the pitch after that.....the Liverpool goal was prob ok, there’s nothing wrong with The equaliser......
Re: other matches this weekend
That one is possibly the most ridiculous yet. The Wolves forward’s hand was ruled offside! It’s impossible to tell if it was as it was swinging when the ball was played. The game is a joke now. Hope they’re happy with how they are fucking it up.rodders999 wrote: ↑Sun Dec 29, 2019 5:21 pmLiverpool 50 points ahead and the fix is still in.
FUCK VAR
Re: other matches this weekend
I’m getting really sick of football now. They scrutinise perfectly good goals to a ridiculous degree and then rule them out.goonertux wrote: ↑Sun Dec 29, 2019 5:26 pmThat one is possibly the most ridiculous yet. FUCK VAR
And at the same time there is nothing in place to correct te injustice of what we saw in our game today when the ref takes a different view of completely the same offence minutes apart because it involves a 2nd yellow instead of a 1st.

Don't forget Douzi's pull back that should have really been a pen for Chelsea if the same interpretation was applied. It wasn't all against us, it just shows what a pig's ear they're making of it.

Re: other matches this weekend
Football has sold out to TV money, more so than even fixture nonsense.
The desperation and insistence on using VAR is not about improving football or eradicating mistakes. It is all around increasing the TV appeal of football, where Sky Sports is the best seat in the house (even more so than the ground itself). The only people that win from VAR is TV.
It’s not just the big controversial decisions, it’s the fact that every goal is now referred to VAR to see whether there is an excuse to disallow it. Their first goal today, the only check necessary was for a foul on Torreira (it wasn’t) but neither the VAR officials nor TV nor the fans know whether they were checking for a foul on Leno or offside. A few weeks ago at Norwich, one of their players put in a shocker of a tackle that was over the ball studs up into Guendouzi’s shin and VAR didn’t even look at it.
There is a stunning arrogance around officiating in PL. This nonsense of drawing arbitrary lines (other leagues don’t do that) is a joke. It’s still relying on the naked eye to identify the furthest body part forward, using awful camera angles and frame speeds that provide a margin of error of around 25cm already. Refusing to use the pitch side monitor, because referees in the PL are incapable of contemplating that they may have made a mistake. VAR officials looking after their mates.

Jamie Carragher gives man of the match to Trent Alexander Arnold, a right back who was like a headless chicken as three balls were simply pushed past him and he was left for dead..But the narrative was set pre-match by Sky and he had to get man of the match, similar to Gerrard back in the day..
Wolves deserved something from that game today...Three wild shots near the end cost them.

Re: other matches this weekend
Anyone else notice, that this "mighty" Liverpool team has resorted to long ball tactics as they find it difficult to break teams down? Mane's goal against wolves for example. Seen it a few times. We should mix it up a lot more than we do. Playing out from the back encourages the opponents to attack our weakest area of the team. Get the ball upfield quickly and away from the players that are a liability.

Re: other matches this weekend
Kane equalises for the Scum
Goal gets ruled out for offside
Kane pulls hamstring putting the ball in the net and has to go off
Scum still 1-0 down
