other matches this weekend

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Emi Martinez with a fantastic penalty save!
Brilliant save.
As much as I rate Leno, I have this awful niggling feeling that selling Martinez will come back to bight us on the arse. :|
Agreed , Martinez is much more dominant in his area which has a calming effect on the defence.
Hope im wrong.

See ‘untouchable’ Sterling dived yet again. When will anyone be brave enough to call out the little cheat for what he does most games?
He's an appalling little bastard. When he's not allegedly cough cough punching his girlfriend in the head he's diving around like a fucking flange. :censored:

Lot of discussion among Gooners recently about which goalkeeper to keep, lot of discussion recently about the Chavs goalkeeper issue, which they have attempted to resolve with a new signing..However one that is going under the radar a bit is the fact that big spenders Everton haven't replaced Jordan Pickford. Two more mistakes last night against Fleetwood, surely Everton fans are tearing their hair out with him..Martinez would have been the perfect fit for them. If DeGea continues to fuck up for Manure then Henderson will get a chance which could spell the end for Pickford in the England goal

Two penalties in their first 3 games.....same old same old. What did they end up with last season? 23 penalties wasn’t it? They’ll have surpassed that by Christmas this time round

Win a game by scoring a penalty after the full time whistle. How apt.

Ref screwed brighton no doubt - pogba and fathead maguire both bundled into connolly, and neither is given a penalty, but when white does it to fatty shaw on halfway line he gives a free to manure and books white    :censored: :censored:
Every player is coached to step across your opponent and draw the foul, but now it appears that it is only a foul when it isnt against manure

Man Utds first goal shouldn't of stood. Slab head kicked the defender's foot

Macmanaman said the first one on Connolly wasn't a penalty because he initiated the contact,.I'm sure if it was at the other end Greenwood or Rashford would have been " very clever to initiate contact "

Var is used 99% of the time to give certain large teams a wee helping hand when they're struggling Rodders.
