It was a cup final between two premier league teams yet Watford fans were reduced to singing at 5 nil down in some vein attempt to enjoy the big day out like some crappy league 2 side who were just happy to make the final.

That’s the gulf that’s in the league right now and as I said in some other thread I’m seriously concerned City could do an invincible season sooner rather than later. They got over 100 points last season, 98 this time round and finished with 15 wins on the bounce after yesterday.

The sheikh will turf another shit load of cash at it this summer to try and buy the champions league next season and the gap between city and the rest will grow wider and wider. What next....they win all 38 games?

The league is fucked and won’t ever recover.

Since Watford got promotion in 2015 they’ve played city 9 times, city have won all 9 games by an aggregate score of 31-4.

How long is shit like that sustainable?

A bit of an overreaction to the cup final scoreline. When we beat Villa 4-0 in 2015 nobody was talking about the chasm. Arsenal could easily have won that by 7 or 8 goals, difference being City have a manager that actively encourages them to rout a team. We didn't.

The whole City have load of cash is true, but we spent more than they did in 2018. They bought in Mahrez, we bought in Auba, Leno, torreira, guendouzi, without selling a player of great value.. Pep built this squad 3 seasons ago and just worked it. We are at the start of that process. Without Pep city wouldn't have won the treble. City can be caught, and losing Kompany will be massive for them. It's funny the best team in England ISN'T participating in either of the european club competition finals. That the joke of it really. The clubs finishing 2nd to 5th are. That says more about European football than it does about the English league.

I'd like to watch Man City v Man City reserves in the community shield, think that would make a better match than the cup final. Congrats to City, who only 19 years ago won a 3rd division play off final to get into the 2nd division. They have had their troubles in the very recent past. While we are celebrating our 100th consecutive season in top flight football. Form is temporary, class is permanant remember that Gooners, remember that.

The thing is (allegedly), the owners keep pumping money in under false names of sponsors, which I totally believe. City have a tiny fan base, it’s a farce, complete farce. Football is so messed up, from the likes of City and PSG, to UEFA giving a major cup final to a ‘third world’ footballing country. Corrupt to the core. Can’t see a way out if it TBH.

Was not happy to see Arab playthings citeh buy the domestic treble tbh but delighted to see mouthy plodder Troy "Monchichi" Deaney and his shower of useless stoke-wannabes take an absolute arse raping. By the end of it the citeh players looked embarrassed.

For anyone wondering what a Monchichi looks like.... https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Monchhichi

Agreed 100% with rodders' and BWK's superb posts. Football has totally eaten it's own arsehole.

From the forced pc women's game equality horseshit to the giving of finals to distant lands that cannot cope with the basic requirements - and sticking two fingers up at the fans by doing so .... from the meejia love in with Stupid Teeth and Poxychinos to the hailing of shit like Pogcunt as if he is Pele..... from 4th place teams playing in a competition for "champions" to the ludicrous shit kick off times for league matches and FA Cup finals..... the modern game is populated by and run by complete cùnts. :censored:

that's why I was wasn't that bothered if it was Liverpool winning the league this season.
I think it is suddenly dawning on people that it is pretty much impossible for City to not win the league for the foreseeable future - something that we have never really seen in this country before,

unless another team comes along that is bankrolled by a billionaire then thats it - competition in the PL is dead.
people will start voting with their feet if their team can't be competitive.

People are talking like City won the league by 18 points with 5 games to go. They didn't, they won it by a point on the last day. I don't know what is going on with Abramovich but if he wanted to win it again he can appoint a manager and buy the players to be very competitive. The Scousers have the team to push them as well. Winning the PL is really tough and you have to admire the way City held their nerve to get over the line....what they did wasn't easy.

The worse part about this is us, weak and cowardly, cannot even set up to make a fist of it but collapse at the first sign of pressure. We could easily, very easily, have got Top 4 but we didn't even have the mettle for that. If we don't get a new billionaire owner, decent players and perhaps a new manager, we will never be competitive again. We will be in the rest of the pack, not even the chasing pack, just the pack :( :( :(

We need UEFA to actually do something sensible here for once (so yeah, we're fu.cked :( ). There is too much smoke for some of what has been alleged not to be true and probably little doubt that the owners bankrolled certain sponsorship deals in order to pump money into the club quickly. The problem is going to be the amount of what UEFA can prove - a smallish figure and it's a fine but if they have evidence of some serious money then they have to go for expulsion from the CL.

Either way UEFA will be gutted that this is out in the open and can't be dealt with in their preferred manner (brown paper bags all round). Citeh will just contest a ban and drag everyone off to court.....at which point UEFA should double down and implement a five year CL ban and go for the fuckers but they won't want to risk their money in a prolonged legal action. This needs to be sorted out though and quite frankly all of football's governing bodies should be getting after those cheating mancs (allegedly) otherwise the precedent is set and FFP turns out to be a massive waste of time......as we all expected. Game's fu.cked.

UEFA have no right to start coming the whole moral ground thing - they had a duty to football all over Europe, but they let the big clubs and leagues bully them into the bastardised version of the champs league that we now have. They should have stood their ground and refused to bow down to the demands of the big clubs cos they were afraid of a breakaway league from the big clubs, and their rollover and die position was 100% down to greed and the money they would have lost if the big clubs broke away. In my opinion when you allowed money and wealth to play such a big part in your decision making, then you don't have the right to judge and condemn others that do the same

Celtic seal their 8th consecutive league title, as did Juventus in Italy, and Bayern's 7th in a row in Germany. Barcelona have their 4th in a row. We ock the Scottish league but are the German and Italian league hasn't been competitive in the last 8 years either, so why are their 3rd/4th placed team ranking above Celtic?

Difficult to get perspective on this but Barca 2-0 down to Valencia at half time in the cup final. A side who despite going 1-0 down to at home we fucking battered.
