Charity auction with Per Mertesacker

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Charity auction with Per Mertesacker

Post by UnitedCharity »

Per Mertesacker is auctioning off a signed Arsenal shirt with us for charity on https://www.unitedcharity.de/en/Auction ... cker-Shirt. The entire proceeds will go straight, without any deducted costs, to a German charity supporting children in difficult life situations.

If this post is not okay here, please let uns know. Thanks! :-)

Hi mate. Did you get permission from Gooner Ed or Mike1 to put this on here? Usual process is you get permission first. I'll leave it on here for the moment but if they want it gone it will be going.

Always good to see Arsenal or ex-Arsenal players using their position in the media world towards a good cause... But surely he can afford to dip his hand in his pockets and just buy whatever is needed.

Then; give the shirt to some young gooner who doesn't remember him as the player who ducked out of the way when he should have been putting his barnet on the line (Like Torreira did last night!) and was slower at turning than the easter tide on rhode island. :?

If it's a Per match-worn shirt it will be clean and devoid of any perspiration odours.

I suppose it's only right that he does something for charity after we seemingly took him on as some sort of outreach programme aimed at shit, cowardly lanky footballers.

If you wash it really hard that big old yellow streak down the back might come out. Might. The bastard is pretty much melted in there. :censored:
