Fulham at the bowl 1/01/19

Post by goonersid »

We go into 2019 on the slide, but Fulham should prove convenient opponents following last nights embarassment!
Feels somewhat familiar 2-1 win

Got to be the first game on your Goals Galore coupon this one - possibly the only defence in the league worse than ours! If he plays Auba and Lacazette from the start and flat track Mesut then we probably win about 5-2

With a bit of luck we may have sold Ozil by then. Our back line is about on the same level as theirs. 2-2. :barscarf: :barscarf:

Couldn’t wish for a better game to try and get back on track and put Saturday behind us.

They are abysmal at the back - worse than us - and are pretty tame going forward. One of our best performances of the season at their place so would be good to stick 3 or 4 on them.

We could send out the kids and beat these no hopers 6-0.

2-1 if we play Comedy Iwobi. :censored:

I like fulham and I hope that they stay up, but I hope that we give them a tonking today just to lift our spirits again, but I dont think that it will be that easy.

In an ideal world we rotate some bit today and/or in the cup game at the weekend, but rotate with who ?? Would like to see maitland-niles get a chance in midfield but a lack of full back options will probably rule that out. Would like to see smith-rowe get another start, but dont know his fitness situation and it is probably unlikely anyway.

Hard fought 2-1 or 3-1 win with a nervy atmosphere amongst the fans in the souless bowl (need early goal imo)

Actually just checked official site and they say that smith-rowe is out for another 2 weeks, which is in complete contrast to the reports that he was back in full training last week

They also say that ozil, mustafi, monreal and bellerin are being assessed ahead of todays game

Saka and Nketiah are our two attacking players on the bench for the first game of the new year. The wonderful era of Stan Kroenke continues
