We are playing absolute crap at the moment, we can't even be bothered to turn up in the first half of most games and the second halves haven't seen much to write home about either. Cardiff who are in the relegation zone had more attempts on goal the other night than we did, so anyone soiling themselves about what an Arsenal victory might mean to the possibility of the murderers or scum wining the league needn't overly concern themselves here. This is a nailed on defeat.

We've gone 20 games away to our top 6 rivals since we last managed a win, losing 10 of our last 12  That's an absolutely shameful record and highlights the deep rot Wenger allowed to set in at the club. Pathetic.

City got a massive get out of jail card when Liverpool shit the bed against Leicester, they will smell blood when we roll into town Sunday and our horror show of a defence will give us zero chance of coming out of this game with anything other than a resounding defeat.
dito. :barscarf: :barscarf:

Two banks of four sitting deep and breaking with three or four players will cause them problems. Can/Will Dick set them up that way though? :rubchin:

Even if those banks include Mustafi, Jenkinson/Lichtsteiner, Kolasinac and Xhaka?

Interesting to see how he sets up tactically. Go two up front and we will get completely overrun in midfield. Play Ozil as the 10 to link with the striker and we might as well start with 10 men. Go with a negative 4-5-1 and he will get hammered if we go down without laying a glove on them.

Very difficult balance between wanting to have a bit of a go and not getting torn to shreds. Controversial but there is an argument to leave Aubameyang on the bench. The guy has been shit recently and has scored goals - it’s what he does and frankly if he scores 25 league goals as he is on to do then great. But not sure he will get a few chances and a tap-in today and Lacazette might be a much better option with his strength and work rate to hold the ball up. Only issue then is his pace isn’t enough to trouble a quick defence and has he got the fitness to do that for 90 mins? Genuinely not sure what I’d do. Maybe Aubameyang as an attacking winger as per earlier this year.

Fuck it at least if/when we lose it’s three points closer to Liverpool.

really don't like our starting XI.

no creativity whatsoever yet Ozil, Ramsey and Suarez sat on the bench.

all out defence and 2 strikers. really can't get on board with this ultra negative plan. strikers need service. he did the same at West Ham ffs

we'll win 3-0 now....

Honestly when you look through the squad of players available today, it is very hard to make a convincing argument for one formation or team line-up more than the other  The only slight difference I might have gone for is putting ramsey in behind the front 2 and leave out lard arse.
Obviously with our defensive injuries all season we have to expect at least one more injury today, so at least we might get to see mavropopanus today, and I would like to see suarez get a run out

I understand that, and tbh I agree with some of it, BUT if dick went attacking and we get hammered, he would get absolutely slated about being unable to set up a team to nullify the opposition, and accused of being a manager that doesnt recognise our weaknesses and doesnt compensate for them (ie play extra defensive cos we have shit defenders   )
He has gone with a defensive set-up, he has picked the best/only defenders available to him, so now maybe if we get a hammering some people might actually recognise that a lack of quality is screwing us more than anything the manager is or isnt doing
