I really want Brighton to stay up, so we'll win......and of course it's meaningless, so we'll definitely win.

Gawd knows.

Unless we’re playing a top quality side (Palace, Wolves, Leicester  ), where we’d be sure to lose, these type of games are currently impossible to predict. I’m as confused about our lot as Dick seems to be.

Oh well, 1-0 win.

Brighton cannot buy goals at the moment...I think one in their last 5 outings?? But they do have Mustafi & Xhaka to bolster their attack so who knows.........

It's not meaningless.

If we win and chavs win, it all goes down to the last game of the season; us away at Burnley and chavs at Leicester.

My guess is neither us or chavs will win the last away game , meaning they somehow crawl over the finish line to claim 4th spot ahead of us! :x

The reason I think it's meaningless is that I don't believe we'll win away...... Burnley are difficult, just ask City...hell Huddersfield away would be difficult for us atm.

Burnley away is difficult anyway, but it becomes extra difficult considering they will have an extra week to rest up for it, whilst we won't get back from Valencia until the early hours of Friday morning.

If we get past Valencia I wouldn't care if we flew directly from Spain to Burnley on the morning of the game :D :D :D

Hoping Palace can beat Cardiff on Saturday, ensuring Brighton are safe and they will roll over for us on Sunday, otherwise it will be a very, very difficult game, which we could do without.

Brighton are poor, fighting for their lives and they can't buy a win, even at home. I don't think they'll give us any problems. I do hope Cardiff go down though. I hope City don't have to go to the Amex needing a win either....hopefully Newcastle can get something against the victims this weekend.

Looking forward to seeing Xhaka all at sea, as the South Coast back four hoof the ball over his head.
