When it comes down to it it is Kroenke's fault. And by saying that I'm in no way relieving the players and Wenger/Emery of their part in proceedings. But to be a top club these days you need top quality players. And to get those you either wait several painful trophyless decades for a short run of luck with three or four youngsters coming good together .... or you go out and splash shit loads of cash. Kroenke hasn't done that and he won't do that now either - he won't splash the 200 million that we need to make us a serious team this summer, while other owners with similar resources will. So it is Kroenke's fault - he doesn't want a winning team, he just wants a winning bank balance, and this stuck in the mud football club gives him just that.
