Preseason Friendly Thread

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Atletico spanked them 7-3 in the end. Zidane must be glad that there's still another 3 weeks left in preseason to whip them into shape.

2 of real Madrid's goals came in the last 5 minutes, and truth be told athletico should have scored 12 or 13

Yep.

That Felix kid that Atletico blew £113 million to get looks like one hell of a player to replace Griezmann with.

Expecially as Griezmann is 28 and they've replaced him with a player 9 years younger for pretty much the same price, AM, Ajax and Liverpool must be the 3 'best run' football clubs in the world at the moment, we're probably in the bottom 3.

Willock keeps his place alongside Xhaka, no mustafi again :barscarf:

Chambers gets the nod ahead of him.

Willock has looked lazy at times for me - sometimes when a young rookie kid starts to get praise it can go to his head for a while until he settles down again

Nelson looks threatening but doesn't get his head up enough imo

If I ever see the Armenian pussy again it will be too soon - I'm not saying that he is doing anything especially badly, but he brings fcuk all except frustration to the table imo

Maitland-Niles best player on pitch imo

Got caught in a tackle in first few minutes - I was going mad here cos they allowed him to stay on for another 10 minutes as he was limping around the place  It's only a friendly ffs

Two months ago there was a lot of speculation linking auba to madrid or barca for £85m - at the time I advocated selling him and buying a top centre half and dembele from lyon as the replacement striker, and that man has just bagged 2 goals against us and we are 2-1 down now
