Strange footballing terms around the world

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

We never went to the moon. And the earth IS flat.

Over here, footy is sometimes referred to as The World Game, because they have their version of footy, which is actually better than rugby tbh.

Let's be Honest here mate - Australian (Rules)? Football !?

a) Has No Rules
b) Looks like a Big Pub Brawl and there just happens to be an oval shaped ball in the vicinity
c) They have Ice Cream and Burger Sellers as Officials
d) Those shorts !!!! I mean C'mon Arsenal players were wearing those in the 70's & 80's tighter than clingfilm YUCH!
e) All the players have to have a Criminal Record for Extreme Violence Before they can step on the pitch (Yeah!and the pitch is a weird shape too!)

:D :D

Indubitably, my learned friend. I concur.
Are you also familiar with The Wagyl? That, which is revered in Aboriginal Nyungar culture and responsible for said sacred oval grounds being available to white man's footy culture to be played? (Not a racist remark btw)

a + b) It is a brawl, and the oval just gives a bit more space to chase 'em down and kick 'em
c) weirdo officials and their 'throw ins and bounce ups'
d) Shorts? Sorry mate, I never noticed. Have a word with yourself. :D
e) Ancestry.com  I'm sure a few of yours were sent over here for one reason or another. As were mine.
