Emery looking a bit like a teenage nutter on a school trip in his tracksuit and hood.

Re: Newcastle Away
A month ago I had zero expectations, then a late flurry of players coming in, some of the dregs going out, and suddenly hope came back and I was looking forward to this.
Well here we are and it's SHITE...…. almost like a half arsed curtain raiser while we wait for the main event.

Re: Newcastle Away
There's a touch of Vieira about Reiss Nelson's running with the ball and passing.

Dunno not one of the usual-suspects.
Willock is doing well for his first game.
Toon are doing a lot of niggly fouls on nelson and ash.
Someone needs to cripple shelvey
Re: Newcastle Away
Doozy is so slack at times. Could do with a year on loan somewhere tbh.

One blessing when we play is that VAR isn't needed...………. because nothing ever happens

Re: Newcastle Away
I wouldn’t be surprised if Dick makes 2 changes at half time. Torreira for Doozy and maybe Pepe for Nelson.
Re: Newcastle Away
It’s like an end of season dead rubber rather than a season opener.
Miki stands out as being utter gash and the stand out team observation is the absolute lack of any pace or urgency. Training match pace.

Re: Newcastle Away
Hopefully Emery switches it up at halftime and yanks off Miki. I would also like to see Torreira, but am torn at whose expense it would be as Dozi and Xhaka have been both less than convincing.

Re: Newcastle Away
We should be ahead.
Poor last balls and sloppy from xhaka miti and auba.
We look solid at the back, chambers has done well.
Toon crowd have gone quiet.
For a young side we are doing okay. If we can get ahead or keep it tight then unleash Pepe and laca then we win.
