As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Fucking Xhaka again, seriously think either we have lost the plot or the manager has, no matter how bad he is neither manager he has played under with us has dropped him subsequent to a major mistake or poor performance......

Ozil away at Watford may be a big ask immaterial of his laziness i wouldn't be playing him away in his first match this season, or at all if i could manage it.

Seems to me yet again the coach is tinkering for no real reason, even with Laca out we could have adjusted without changing that much.

Worried how this will go now as i see us being very weak with Ozil and Xhaka in the same midfield with Luis behind :barscarf:

It defies all logic. xhakawanka needs to be Dropped in order to show him he is droppable and not an automatic selection; besides the fact he is utter shyte. As for Ozil - he is far too light weight to play against a physical mid-field like watford's. I just do Not get it. Emery beginning to skate on thin ice.

Just driving home and heard the line-up on 5 Live.

Emery is persisting with xhakawanka so there's one major accident we will have to deal with and then of course he's playing sick note (ozil), whereas surely he should be playing either Nelson or Martinelli and for certain he should start with Torreira as the mid-field holder/anchor to protect the back-line :?

If this goes tits up I can see the Emery Out calls growing in number and getting louder. :|
Pretty certain Torreira picked up a knock last weekend playing for Uruguay against Costa Rica as he came off just before half time and didn’t play midweek for them either. Would be really nice to not have injuries at some point this season to any of our first 11.

#afc XI: Leno, Maitland-Niles, Sokratis, Luiz, Kolasinac, Xhaka, Guendouzi, Ceballos, Ozil, Pepe, Aubameyang

Subs: Torreira, Chambers, Nelson, Martinez, Willock, Martinelli, Saka
Luiz,Xhaka and Ozil in the same team ,what can go wrong?
Certainly Watford away you know what to expect and Emery brings in Ozil...lets see how that goes :rubchin:

Even when he is passing to his own team-mates he is screwing us over - 2 passes from xhaka within 5 minutes of each other to players who were in no position to receive the ball, and as a result we lost possession
The stats will say great accurate passing but the reality is that he passed team-mates into trouble

We need another - they have five in the midfield in with our three. Outnumbered we are.
