He's captained 6 of 8 games already this season and if possible, he's even worse than he was last season. Giving the responsibility of captaining a team, that seems to constantly hover on the edge of crisis, is not going to turn a crap player into a good one. And Xhaka is a crap player. And Xhaka is never going to be a good player.

fair enough, I will get behind him for now, but I agree he is probably not the best appointment we have ever made for that role.
I don't see too many alternatives though to be honest.

Absolutely spot on. Dick is trying to polish a turd by making it captain. As we have said before you flush turds, you don't keep them :roll:

That's what I'd like to see but Emery will probably play captain catastrophe in midfield instead of Torreira. Despite that this team is good enough to get our first league win there since 2006.

Id have beelend at right back - he played for some of the cup game and played an hour on Saturday for under 23s, so why cant he play tonight ? I would start him tonight and play him for the first 60 mins, and hopefully by then that welsh kid will have either been subbed or running a bit slower than he was at the start

Sokratis should start ahead of luiz - imo both will start ahead of holding, but I would opt for holding and sokratis

Ceballos ahead of Willock for me as well

Good team. Very balanced and realistic. I’d invert the triangle and play Torreira at the base.
I’m certain USB would pick an imbalanced starting 11 just to appease certain players and then spend the rest of the 90mins undoing his mess. We have no defence and the Mancs have no attack. Like 2clumsy clowns trading blows in an Tesco car park, it should be fun watching.

Bellerin would have been selected but Emery already saying he won't start

Reports saying Tierney has not travelled with the squad

Likely to be AMN and Kolasinac as full backs, with Holding and Sokratis as Centre backs

Samuel Luckhurst
@samuelluckhurst
Paul Pogba and Marcus Rashford both in the United squad. No sign of Aaron Wan-Bissaka, though. #mufc
Ozil and Tierney not even in the travelling squad apparently.

Not a lot of creation in midfield? Rashford back for them. Hope it’s a gamble and he’s forced off early! This is still the game for me. Just beat them and get out of Dodge City with 3 points. COYG!!!!
