Palace (H) 27/10 @ 16:30

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

He's initiated contact and there is no way enough evidence to overturn that. The whole thing is inconsistent and corrupt.
he has it down as a fine art..feinged to go one way then changed direction and dived over the leg...should be a booking
I concur. He's absolutely brilliant at initiating contact and then exaggerating like he gets shot.

So VAR is conned just like a referee is! If they can't get consistency they shouldn't use it.

There was not a great deal Sokratis could do, he done the whole routine so quickly.....the dive was like he was shot....ridiculous cheating..

Just the 9.9 technique of the dive alone should tell them...

VAR HAS TO GO!

Either that or used sparingly where each manager has one shout each half.

I bet when the ref looks back at that later he'll think "Nope, I got that call correct"

VAR has dis-empowered the refs, it's as if they re afraid to make a decision and stand by it.

That would be my feeling too

However it should also be noted that chambers was stupid to stick his leg out there - anyone who has played the game for any length of time knows that you should force Zaha inside where you have support from the likes of douzi coming across to help, but instead he showed him down the line and was caught square on

Can't really blame Chambers tbh once Zaha chops it back onto the right it's just instinct to stick out a leg. Lacazette not closing the defender who proceeded with the long ball to Zaha is culpable too.
