No, not this season it's not, it's going to take a lot to get 4th even after tonight's results, 'getting lucky in the cup' that we were 45 mins away from winning last year is far more achievable.
The clubs finances are not great & this is a well known self sustaining model, if you want to see any sort of decent Summer window, we have to win the Europa not worry about winning pointless games in the PL.
The best way to build for next season is to be in the CL next year, that will be through the Europa.

Jeeezzzusss dude will you STOP With those Negative Vibes!!clockender1 wrote: ↑Mon Feb 17, 2020 7:22 pmWe will not be good enough for the CL though, and i dont think we can win the EL anyway. I think the game against Everton is much more important in the long run.Gunnersaurus wrote: ↑Mon Feb 17, 2020 6:29 pmclockender1 wrote: ↑Sun Feb 16, 2020 9:55 pmI would rotate for this - martinelli, dozer, torreira, willock, laca all in.
We play a 3-5-2 - keep it tight and look for the clean sheet.
Hopefully tets appreciates the importance of that and building on the last few defensive displays.
Greece is always difficult away, but we should muller them 2nd leg, so thats how i'd play this one.
This is not the league cup, this is still our only realistic route to the CL, if he doesn't play his strongest team you/I/everyone should not be happy.

Why.....the longer we are in the CL, the less the Kroenke's will do. Winning the CL will NEVER be their goal, EVER!! The money from it , they will embrace, but their long term goal, if you can even call it that, will be to get back in, then outlay as little as possible to tread water in order to remain in. Winning the Europa will be great but the CL holds no great excitement for me, we will be embarrassed in that company.
AND those thieving Kroenke's will be cock a hoop.

Starting to think you may be right. The manager of arsenal (whoever it is) according to some is a *word censored*, unless he wins the PL in which case he would be is a lucky *word censored*.

Team news update - Torreira is ill and misses out, Ozil has stayed at home as his wife is about to give birth. Mari is available and Guendouzi has travelled.

This will be a messy game, Olympiakos are even more brutal than usual this season so our lot are going to get kicked all over the place, should still win though 1-0

Tbh though I thought Ozil, Ceballos and Saka were the difference in that second half against the toon.
With most of the Olympiacos team seemingly under the illusion the sport they participate in is MMA it's probably for the best that Ozil ain't gonna be there!
Unfortunately I'm not sure we have anyone outside of maybe Kalashnikov and Sokratis that would be capable of dishing out a bit of retribution.
