Anelka Misunderstood - Netflix Doc

Post by IW8Goalmachine »

it's a decent watch but I still think he was a twat as everyone remembers.

Could of been one of the greatest.

Still can't believe he wasn't picked for the 98 French team

It is a decent watch and Le Sulk certainly managed to piss off plenty of the many clubs he played for.

A career littered with signing on fees

Found it utterly excruciatingly bad.
The terrible voiceovers, the complete whitewashing of his exit from Arsenal, Madrid, etc.
His loathsome brothers and hangers-on.
2 hours of my life never to get back.

When he first burst through in that double season I thought we had a player that would go on to be one of the all time greats. When we used to break the length of the field in a few seconds flat and he was the spearhead....he was tailored made for us. Remember being up at Blackburn watching him slice them apart

Turns out he was a c.unt !

Boring as helll!!!!
It doesn't give an insight into anything much.
Funniest moment was having his penalty saved in UCL final 2008. That's about it.

^ This. I thought he'd be the PL all time top scorer within a few seasons. Instead he became a real contender for its all time greatest arsehole. :censored:

A fantastic talent that didn't achieve anywhere near what he really should have because of greed and a posse of cùnty hangers-on.

He was an absolute numpty.

He must look at Henry and think he could of had that career.

Love that Liverpool didn't offer him a deal when it was something he really wanted. What goes around comes around

Weird fella by all accounts when he signed for Madrid they put him up in one of their own apartments ,they do this to keep an eye on their payers .
He ordered a huge sofa and a massive tv screen and speakers and then came in every day from training and played xbox every night until the early hours with his brother and cousin and eating in on pizzas every night .
Never went out never went chasing woman just the same routine !
The only thing that worried Madrid was his diet of pizza and soft fizzy drinks.
Turned up on time to training did what he was told wasn't any trouble but didn't socialise with the other players barely spoke to anyone and when he left they were left baffled as he showed no emotion of any sort !

I was very bored last night so I watched the So called Documentary ,it was fucking hilarious .
I had forgotten just how many people he and his brothers shat on during his career ,it was pure comedy gold .
He explains his Arsenal departure as normal and it was time to move to a bigger club !
The only good bit was that he does say when he went on the pitch at real Madrid he thought he should have stayed in London !
what was even funnier was that the English subtitles toned down some of the language and then in some parts they just completely ignore altogether .
They cover his 2nd stint at PSG in 10 seconds saying after a difficult few months he went on loan to Liverpool .
Liverpool had an option to sign him permanently but decided against it and Houlier basically said the reason they didn't was because of the antics of his brothers and cousins !
Funnily enough the only Manager or coach that came on camera was TOF who waxed lyrical about him .
His mates ,principally Henry - Pires_Gallas-Petit -Vierra implore the viewer to believe he isn't at all like his image but they do have to go on record to say he marches to his own beat !
The whole thing was either it wasn't me or I didnt do it or they treated me very poorly !
The French team WC debacle was hilarious too .
I recommend this Documentary as a work of hi grade comedy fiction !
