WOT DO YOU DO?

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

WOT DO YOU DO?

Post by SPUDMASHER »

I'm not looking for peoples cv's here. As we've found out lots about each other recently I thought it might be interesting to know what peoples occupations are including any interesting past jobs. I mean the ones you get paid for, not the ones Wayno does in his spare time
It would be interesting to see if we have a varied demographic among our forumers.

In my past job I worked as a manager for Ladbrokes and for 2 years worked at Highbury in the betting booths for almost every home match, getting to watch the games for free, having free food and the odd free pint too. Best job I ever had!

Currently working in Customer Services for an Education Company, what a come down!

I suppose I should tell you mine. (Didn't think to do so in the first post  ).

I work in nuclear power as a supply chain manager. I used to be a police officer, but I'm alright now. I'm a member of the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply.

Rebel I take it your dissatisfaction with work lately has nothing to do with the unavailability of internet access now

Currently a Civil Servant. I work appointing senior managers and professionals to the HSE (Irish health service) and analysts to government think tanks and the police etc etc. I'm in the only department in the civil service that is high pressure with a huge work load...

Before that I worked for my old man's construction firm installing structural steel and fireproofing buildings for 17 years, the last 8 as a contracts and site manager.

Also made a few quid over the years playing in bands part time (weekends mostly).

My absolute burning ambition is to be a full time writer. Have written two novels (one adult black comedy, one conspiracy) that are currently with a couple of agents, so fingers crossed... :?

Anyone on here with connections to (or works for) a major publisher?????
