I am so happy that the Chavs lost but do have a lot of sympathy for John Terry (would have preferred Cashley to have missed it!!). Regardless of what you think of him as a human being (and a lot of his mistakes were when he was younger) the guy is a fantastic player with a never-say-die attitude and he has leadership qualities that Arsenal could well do with and have been sorely missing since the likes of Adams and Vieira left.
Yes he has his detractors but there is no doubt in my mind that if you did a survey of gooners and asked them whether, purely on football terms, they would have Terry in their team - and probably as captain - the majority would say yes.
Rejoice, like I am, in the fact that Chelsea didn't buy themselves into history, but I don't think we should go overboard when it comes to Terry's own personal misery. I know some of you will disagree but that's how I feel about things.
