big bro

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

I must admit I avidly watched the 1st two series because it was something new on TV.

Nowawdays I only watch the launch nights hoping for the possibility of seeing somebody I've known (eg, somebody I went to primary/secondary school with) enter the house.

I will watch it cos the Doris likes it but I care very little what happens!

Don't like any of the eye candy this year really and if forced to pick one would be the older one who is part of the couple!

So many better things on tv to watch

Euro 2008
Cricket
River Cottage Spring
Future Weapons
Ray Mears
The Wire
Entourage
Curb Your Enthusiasm

I would watch an Arsenal DVD any time over Big Brother

I cant stand Big Brother but c.r.i.c.k.e.t.???

The Wire is perhaps the greatest tv show ever made though so kudos to you for that selection. Not that you require my approval.

Do you rate it higher than Sopranos? I rate Sopranos and Curb Your Enthusiasm as all time greats but Wire fast catching up.

After watching The Wire I tend to think that's better but then if I watch Sopranos again I change my mind... I'm sitting on the fence on that one. Maybe Sopranos is a better character study & The Wire is a better social commentary.

Unfortunately they're both finished now so TV is a bit fcuk'd up until/unless something new comes along.

Gooner.ed,

Yes, but only if you've seen it previously and know you like the programme - as I do. Otherwise it could be an expensive mistake.

Don't know but if you have Satellite, the current series of Curb is being shown on More4 on Sunday evening/Monday morning at 12.45 am. 8)

Just to give you an idea, the lead character is similar to an American Richard Wilson (or our very own Augie  ).
