Theo gets Henrys shirt

Theo was just coming to the boil at the end of last season and from his style of play comparisons to Thierry will always follow him around. I just hope this doesn't put extra pressure and expectation on the young lad's progress. It's a big shirt to fill, and I'm in no doubt that Theo will become a world class player in the future, but I see this as an unnecessary burden for him to take on. Maybe I'm reading too much into it, it's only a number after all, but le boss cunningly gave the number 10 to a defender so comparisons could never be drawn with the legend that is Dennis Bergkamp.

I really hope he asked for the shirt. You could see his confidence growing all the time last season and I really hope he has gone into the Boss's office and requested the legendary shirt off his own steam. It would be a sure sign he's ready to step up next season and feels up to the challenge.

Oh well, I guess we aren't saving the number 14 shirt for our much needed top class central midfield signing then :roll:

The only sensible number left is number 8, and I'm assuming that's reserved for Nasri...if he ever signs of course :roll:

interesting to see that Ramsey got 16 - maybe the le boss sees him as a starter from the get go this year.
