Who's talking?

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Who's talking?

Post by Graham Wilkinson »

There'a a piece in today's Independent about the scheme, formerly operated by David Dein to bring promising young South American players to Arsenal via a Spanish intermediary club (which overcomes work permit problems).

The gist of the piece is that without Dein the scheme will collapse and that this source of potential players will be cut off.

The interesting question is who is the source of the article. It's unlikely that anyone in the club would have talked to the journalist about all of this. David Dein has publicly stayed silent about his removal from the board. Does this mean that behind the scenes he is briefing journalists about how indispensible he is to the club?
