was it a pen...yes or no???

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

I say it wasn't. sagna was being backed into and in providing resistance fell over on top of the forward player.

No foul.

Not alone was it not a penalty, it was actually a free out for shirt pulling on Sagna! The dive and deserved booking their striker got a few minutes later summed up the shameful tactics of Kiev all night. Can't wait till we destroy them back at the Grove.

Deffo NOT a penno. The cute *crunt striker grabbed Sagna's jersey and then tilted forward to look like he was shoved. This is the oldest strikers trick in the book. Niall Quinn had it down to a fine art at Sunderland and for Ireland.

* "cute" in Ireland means devious or a trickster...

You put your arms on the guy, you risk conceding a penalty. Shouldn't have been though

No way a pen. Typical homer ref
The guy that "won" it had been shooting from outside the area all night and not getting anywhere near the goal so the ref thought he'd give him a chance from 12 yards to see if he was more accurate from closer in. Sadly, he was

Agreed, putting your hands near a striker is suicidal but that doesn't make it a penno (as you agree). it just shows how low the game has gone with the fucking diving. :(

Depends what the ref's view was

If he was standing beside the play he would have seen Sanga been pulled down too by the shirt, unfortunately that wasn't the case
