Decorating

Geraldine decides that the Bedroom needs painting. Off we go over to B&Q which is situated in a big retail park.
So we look at the paints. Over the paint is a line of blocks which let you see how it looks.We are looking for Green.
Ger"which one do you prefer"?
Me"Mint"
Ger"what about the Mint julep"?
Me"looks good"
Ger"the Mint Crisp looks nice"
Me"yes"
Ger"I like the Spring Mint"
Me"they all look alike"
Ger"***** idiot,they are all different"
So we buy the Mint

Now we go to the Drapery Shop to "dress the bed" Why?
Now I'm being shown Duvet cover after Duvet cover and being asked which one is the nicest. Eventually without taking any notice of my answers SHE buys it (sorry,them,you must have a spare set). Of course they don't have pillow cases to match whatever is going through Geraldines Mind, we go to another shop and before I know it

YES we can go home.

The last two days I have been painting the Bedroom a lovely shade of Mint.Three coats
Me"I'm finished"
Ger"you never did the glossing"
Me"the gloss is grand"(what kind of fool am I)
AFTER the gloss was finished I cleaned everything away,hoovered and cleaned the room and then went for a shower. Ger told me I could not use the bedroom till she was finished. Finally the door opened and I was ushered in.


It was beautiful and worth all the time and Money we had spent


Now Ger is telling Friends and Family that WE painted the Bedroom

IF I only had the money I would hire someone else to do it. Basil could I afford you? for the painting that is!

i hate it when they ask for your opinion and when you give it, they ignore it and do the opposite and you think to yourself why ask me?

I once painted the downstairs toilet the darkest shade of blue that I could find, it was bordering on black and I made an absolute hash of it My wife hated it and has never asked me to pick up a paint brush since and she now does all the decorating herself

the old do it wrong trick.... tried that a few times but it aint worked, i messed the washing up up thinking i wont have to do it again, but was told to do it till i get better
