THE NORTHBANKBREN TV SHOW THREAD

It's all a load of Cannonballs in here! This is the virtual Arsenal pub where you can chat about anything except football. Be warned though, like any pub, the content may not always be suitable for everyone.

Now that I have Broadband again! Yaaaaaaaaay!

I did some binge watching over the week-end and on Netflix there was a decent movie called "The Town" - It may look like the usual crash, bang wallop stuff...No I'm not talking about DB's ability to breathe AND talk through his ears! :D

There's quite a few 'cameo's by some well respected actors in it as well...definitely worth a gander.... :barscarf:

I started watching another one beforehand call "Extraction" BIGGEST LOAD OF SHYTE IN AGES.... As in REALLY Bad.

Onto better Call Saul - deffo 9 / 10

And I'm looking forward to binge watching Ozark (3rd series next week)
Just watched The Town on your recommendation.
Didn't realise it's a 2.5 hr film. Very good though, thank you very much. 8)

Thank Midz ... me too ... Pheweeeeeeeee! :barscarf:

Just watched the Brian Wilson Auto bio film "Love & Mercy" on BBC i Player

Link: https://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/m ... love-mercy

It's available for 2 more weeks (from May 9th)

I have to say, it is an excellent watch...though really uncomfortable at times - when you see how he was manipulated etc. But it also allows us to see that he really was a friggin' " Musical Genius" of that era.

Yup!

And he comes across (and is) as Humble, Calm, Thoughtful and highly Intelligent and 'Funny' - The bit about freaking Martin Birch out in the studio when they set (won't spoil it) on Fire right in front of him!

Without even watching this (yet) I know exactly who that is. Also won't spoil it but they used to regularly set that individual on fire to relieve the tedium of life on the road.

Another great watch is the film of their last ever gig "The End". It covers the build up to the gig in Brum, the gig, and the days afterwards. For blokes in their 70s they still sounded amazing live. 8)
