Re: Arsenal FC, not PLC
This from a man who claims to leave every Ireland game habitually because and I quoteM-50 wrote:

Arsenal have been competing for the major club competition in world football and competitions in their country.
As I type Arsenal have a game in hand which could send them top of the Premier League (widely regarded at the most competitive football league in the world). Arsenal have the second-best goals for record and one of the best defensive records in that league.
This set-up is very naive.
"They aren't a good team"
You have some cheek.

Lads I am all up for something to be done, but wanna know what it's about really? Only thing I won't stand by is a Wenger witch hunt! I do still love the guy and i really don't think it is all him. I feel he's not doing what Rafa did and saying 'they're not giving me any money' and causing a farse at the club. Think there are other factors here, one of which the board are not giving him the dough!
Also don't think it'd be the most constructive thing doing this now when if we take a step back, yes we probs will f*ck it up, but there's 10 games left, and we CAN win the league!! May not, but can!
So what's the plan then??

Dont get angry guys, people are going to disagree.
But I must post that it is clear to anyone with eyes that our squad is probably 3 quality players from really competing on all fronts. Were not asking to spend hundreds of millions. Just the 3-4 player that will as quartz put on the other thread finish the project.
Im an optimist so still hold hope of winning the league, we can do it. BUT even if we DO I'd still want this idea to be pushed forward. EVEN more so in fact. Because then we have a great chance to attract the type of quality player we need.
If you feel the squad doesnt needed to be added to I personally think you're naive, but youre all entitled to your opinion.
This is about spending cash we know the club has. Surplus cash that they're sitting on. Nothing to do with debt repayment.

Basically one agenda. We want the club to spend money on players that will IMPROVE our squad. We know they are sitting on lots of surplus money and as we spend so much on the club, we want them to spend it on improving the squad. NOT A WENGER OUT PROTEST.jonny3110 wrote:Lads I am all up for something to be done, but wanna know what it's about really? Only thing I won't stand by is a Wenger witch hunt! I think we'll be able to get enough of us together at the home game against Blackburn?mikeyb772001 wrote:When is the first meet then people? Think we need to set this group up properly.
As i said i am there for the cause and Merse_10 will be with me.
Think were both better off on the front line, when the time comes.

Bren is right
look end of the day i may rant on here and call the old french one names and stuff but that is built up anger.
if i had the choice of him going and a new manager or him staying but spending i want the 2nd. he is the best man for the job but only if he spends the LIMITED money we have. Not 100 mil, not even 80 or 60 but 30-40 mil and to sell a few and replace them.
NONE of us want a citeh/manure/chav spreading spree as that isnt arsenal.
its about the club investing money again and not making such mugs out of us paying fans. charge the highest prices then invest in the team so we can pay our money to watch players who put effort in.

I am surprised at most of your post but the last sentence is absolutely staggering We are naive ?? How pray tell can you make that out ?
Are we the naive fools who believe everything wenger and the board tells us is true and that we are on the verge of world domination ?
Do we honestly believe that bendtner, diaby, denilson etc are top quality players just a little misunderstood ?
Do we honestly believe that the players mentioned and some of the others are worthy of the lucrative contracts they are on ?
Do we believe that there is no need to invest in bringing better quality players to the club or maybe we believe that there is no players out there that are better than diaby, bendtner, denilson etc ?
There is only 1 person on this thread who is naive and walking around with his head up his arse and maybe you should look closer to home to identify that person I would love to be a restruant in louth that has you as a customer - I could serve you up a corn beef dinner, tell you that it is fillet steak and charge you cavier prices for my trouble and you still wouldnt complain In fact not alone would you not complain but you would think it perfectly acceptable to keep getting financially screwed year after year
