FORMULA 1 ,ANYONE INTO IT ?

It's all a load of Cannonballs in here! This is the virtual Arsenal pub where you can chat about anything except football. Be warned though, like any pub, the content may not always be suitable for everyone.

FORMULA 1 ,ANYONE INTO IT ?

Post by Herd »

Not into it myself but there's been a whole slew of great freebie parties this week and some woman that wouldn't look out of place on a BG thread.

Anyone into adult scalextrics ,I live just the other side of Marina Bay so I will hear it all weekend but wont see thing ?

I try and watch the races when i can. You have to admire the engineering and work that goes into the sport and the skill/bottle of the drivers. There's also been some quality races this season so wouldn't have minded grabbing some of those freebies!

Nope, it just seems to be 25 laps around the Gabalfa roundabout and nip into Kwik fit for a tyre change. :mrgnu:

It's a bit shite, but it's better than Nascar, which is basically turning left for two hours with a stupid moustache, being watched by a few thousand six fingered sister shagging inbred rednecks. 8)

I absolutely adore it but it seems that I'm a growing minority.

Can see why you would if you grew up watching Senna though, but he was before my time, and we just seem to have a load of boring fuckers nowadays.

I have seen, but barely, i was 4 when I watched him die live.

I actually think that this current crop of pilots is really, really good and though Vettel wins 90% of the races, they have been quite interesting when the tracks are good.

Thing is you can't make a good race in tracks as Valencia,China,Abu Dhabi,Korea,Bahrein,Hungary,Barcelona, new Hockenheim...

The tracks have stopped punishinh the blokes who can't keep the car on the road with a DNF, now they have 23miles of tarmac to fix their mistakes. When you don't push the drivers to their limit, they don't fuck up and if they don't fuck up races get boring.

ps. the FIA is not helping also with all this DRS shite, making impossible for a slower car to hold the faster one.

Even I was a fan in the Schumacher/Hakkinen days. Ferrari and Mclaren were equal in those days each having their strenghts and weaknesses.

Now it has become predictable and boring with one team dominating the others.
