Gordon Banks
Never get bored of seeing the save. Everything about the clip is brilliant. The half volley cross, the leap from Pele and bullet header and of course the save. Top top keeper. Best England ever had.
RIP
RIP

It was a great save. Probably the second best save ever.

Seamo. Against the Blades. FA Cup. Not even gonna debate it.

Oh ok.

Mid air readjustment from point blank bullet header, hung in the air, held the ball on the line, then pushed it out to safety. Had everything. Spectacular, agility, lightening responses, strong wrist, dexterity, strength - everything.

Greatest save ever. 8)

And don’t forget Bobby Moore’s greatest ever tackle, on Pele plus JohnBarnes’ greatest ever goal ( friendly against Brazil)
The Ingerlish press living cukoo land as usual
Greatest ever save “my balls” De gea alone has probably made half a dozen saves already this season, as good or better than Banks’

In radio 5 tribute Gordon Banks said he thought his best save was against Dennis Law in the 1967 England v Scotland game.

Yeah, I used to enjoy watching the monkeys- wasn’t much of a plot to the shows, usually Davy Jones used to fall for a girl while the rest buffooned around.

Bingo, Fleagal, Drooper and Snorky - always wanted to drive a little buggy around in the beach with a giant beach ball like they did in the show.

Indeed.
Horrible cruel disease, knows no boundaries and non discrimatory, preys on rich, poor, young and old alike. Particularly unfair on those so young, babies and young kids who have only started their life.

We work with a big Child's cancer charity and do events a few times a year. Great to see the survivors and their smiles and the kids going through it and still smiling, despite the pain and suffering. You toughen yourself up mentally and emotionally but then when we do the yearly memorial event, it's so hard not to feel the pain and heartache in the venue itself and when you look into parents and sometimes siblings eyes.Especially tough when we do a party or event for the kids effectively, farewell party, when they are near to passing. Can't put words to it. You just smile and make the most of it for them. At the end of those events you just feel drained and just want to get hold our own kids longer and tighter. My own Step daughter survived Luekemia many years ago and is now a young woman but it really seems to be Russian roulette.

As we know, no boundaries, only found out this morning one of my best mates in the States has been diagnosed with Pancreatic cancer. Tough bugger though, ex Screaming Eagles, his biggest battle yet. Horrible cruel fucking disease.
