I defy anyone to walk along the main street of their local city or town on a Saturday mid-morning to early afternoon look about them and seeing the humans about them not think:

I had my first job interview for five months last week. I thought it went well, although I have found out this morning that I didn't get the job. Typical. As I am not a people person and can't deal with phones, I am pretty much unemployable. If that's not depressing enough, the dole will be starting to turn the screws on me soon. I've also ballsed up an online application a couple of days ago; I missed a whole section out on work history - pathetic as that is. Damn website.
All I want is a local job on a living wage that has little-to-nothing to do with the general public. It seems that is too much to ask for in this day and age. I suppose it's a good thing I largely don't give a damn anymore. No point in fighting the current of bullshit, just go with it.
