The US banks made a huge mistake with Trump, they lent what they thought was an inteligent billionare billions of dollars, they had instead given a stupid twat who was a millionaire billions, and he wasted it, but they supported him for ages because he was too big to fail (he just did not have enough assets to chase) so the banks owned his brand. making building and calling them Trump this and Trump that, he is just a buffoon with a expertly managed brand, even though he does his best to destroy it. so bad was the clintons as a family they lost to a brand!
But in the end, on one side you a *word censored* backed by Big buisness with bad intentions, and on the other side you have a *word censored* backed by Big Business with bad intentions.
Trump wasn't backed by anyone though

Clinton never pardoned himself. Not even Nixon during the height of Watergate would dare to pardon himself. The whole concept of democracies is no one is above the law. Should Trump parson himself (which to receive a pardon is an official admission of guilt) would undercut the notion of no one being above the law.
Clinton sure was very lose with those pardons in his last week in office, but he never pardoned himself.
I guarantee if Trump pardons himself the whole world would stop because the US government would face its biggest constitutional crisis in history and became paralyzed

Trump attacks sportsmen for disrespecting the National Anthem, then forgets the words to the National Anthem while singing it.

Trump has to be the biggest flip flop politician of modern times. People say they like his honesty, well for me he doesn’t know his arse from his elbow. His comments by and large are knee jerk and made without any consultation with his advisers, then as we saw with Teresa May when he realises he’s fucked up saying Boris would make a good PM he within a few hours goes a complete U turn. Then he cries fake news, ohh dear it’s been taped Donald.
Teresa May hasn’t got a backbone, she should tell him where to stick his trade deal. People complained when Obama said the UK would be at the back of the queue for trade deals with the US, yet when Trump says something similar the likes of Nigel Farage jump to his defence.
The Democrats have to pull out a credible candidate for the next US election, perhaps someone left field such as Oprah Winfrey, which might seem bizarre would have what it takes to take on Trump. Michelle Obama would also be a good pick imo, but I am not sure that the Americans make of former First Ladies, it didn’t work out well for Clinton.
Trump has been very lucky with the US economy, it’s powered ahead since he took office and of course it’s all his doing and nothing to do with his predecessor. The stock market is flying, and people’s 401k plans are reflecting this. He’s putting thousands of dollars into the pockets of American families in the form of tax cuts. These factors alone are increasing his popularity stateside.

Trump is a lunatic. But he is the perfect populist president for the masses. He tells them what they want to hear. The current economy has nothing to do with Obama and everything to do with Trump's populist tax cuts and internal investment building short term confidence in the markets. The problem with populist presidents and populist policies is they are only short term fixes and they get found out just like Toothy Bill did after he jumped on Greenspan's economic thinking before he triggered a world wide economic collapse the fucking clown.
I still cannot believe the complete arseholes in the Democratic party thought running such a hated and divisive figure as Satanica was a good idea. They'd have had a better chance running a convicted paedophile ffs..... they literally could have put up
anybody bar a Clinton and walked it the gobshites.

i don't think so, if most people still have fuel in thier cars and food / beer in the fridge - they tend to be outraged on twitter but do nothing real about it, by the time people actually care enough to make a change is normally in a pretty bad state. There have not been many revolutions in the west.
EDIT: he would have to step down though.
Most countries are co-opted by the corperations now. i think i read somewhere there is a list where in the senate you have to declare an interest if you are taking money from another country. goverment or corp that could influence you, and more than half declare.

I heard some comentary on this (retrospective) they were saying the media was showing Trump 24/7 because A: was good ratings, and B: they thought his crazy speeches would put people off voting for him leaving HillDog as the victor.
It backfired they gave him free publicity and he won.

Yup. What nearly everyone missed was the fact that a Clinton all but destroyed America's manufacturing industry and it was those previously employed docile conservative types (now long term unemployed and broke) that came out and voted for the lunatic who was telling them what they wanted to hear. This tipped the balance when added to the millions of Clinton-haters that would vote for anyone rather than a Clinton.
Honestly if the Democrats had put anyone up instead of Satanica they would have walked that election.
