Who Has Less Guts & Determination?

It's all a load of Cannonballs in here! This is the virtual Arsenal pub where you can chat about anything except football. Be warned though, like any pub, the content may not always be suitable for everyone.

I think that at this special time of the year we should take a moment to remember and reflect on the miracle that happened on this day.

A whole 24 hours has passed without an Australian cricketer crying on our televisions.

Maybe there is a god(s).

South Africa might be a better team on paper but

Australia are a better team on sandpaper.

How can you love the Aussies, this current team are despised throughout the cricketing world. It's not just England you know they try their sledging tactics amongst other things? Cricket was always a classy game, yeah there was a bit of niggle with bat and ball but nothing like this bunch of twats come out with. Warner chinned Root the other year, should have been banned then.

Thanks for Eoin Morgan btw, he's a very good ODI/T20 captain.
Haha new to cricket huh? Sledging has been going on for decades. The hilarity of watching English cricket lose its collective shit over the same stuff they’ve done for decades is fantastic. I think it's this sense of outrage entitlement and hypocrisy that makes most of the cricketing world hate every England cricket team.

Strewth!! Look mate a whinging pom!! :barscarf:
How long have you followed cricket DB10? Not very long by the sounds of it..........

Sledging is something the Aussies are famous for, and yeah things are always going to get fruity when they play England, but they do it against every other team. I remember a few years back when that prick Mitchell Johnson threw the ball deliberately at Virat Kohli needless to say Kohli had a few words at the end of the over. Johnson isn't fit enough to lace Kohli's boots.

I played cricket at club level in London, and trust me there never was any sledging between teams. Always friendly banter and beers/food enjoyed by all.

Stick to rugby mate.......
Maybe you should stick to misquoting and deliberately misinterpreting posts on the Brexit thread...

Where did I say there was sledging at the shit levels in the game? The discussion was about international level games where it has gone on since the 70s.

FYI as a kid I saw more top level cricket at the Gabba than you've had hot meals mate. Including the Kerry Packer series. That's how long I go back with the game.
I like winding you up DB10 but it seems like you’ve bitten like a goodun this time, I’d also like to know where you think a series that lasted 2 years was actually proper first class cricket? They didn’t attract every world class player into their lol team names for sure.

Unfortunately for you cricket is more in my families blood (for many generations) than you might think, more so than football. So your “hot dinners” analogy might struggle a bit for credibility especially as I have watched live some of the all time greats of cricket since the 70s.

I played for North London in the Middlesex league, at first eleven level the bowlers would have the ball moving round like boomerangs at 70 mph. Not quite as quick as modern day test bowlers but let’s see how brown your pants would go DB10 with that ball whistling round your ears with no helmet on. I made it to the third eleven and we played the firsts quite a lot, the standard of the best players wasn’t far off county level. Hardly a “shit level”.

I feel some sympathy for Smith and Bancroft because given Warner’s history I am sure he played a major part in the cheating and heavily influenced them, but regardless they all got what they deserved.

:D   :D
And I love the way you are an "expert" on everything once you get out-argued or proven wrong and have done everything to such a high level.... poker.... betting.... business with foreigners.... now the cricket..... I think it's Rule 3 of anonymous Internet forum membership. Claim firsthand experience and expertise to cover lack of knowledge.... without ever proving any of it....

FYI you've yet to wind me up about anything. Ever. But do keep trying. Tbh though judging from your mini rant there I think it's you that has been wound up just a tad.

Fucking shite winter. Bayliss please fuck off.

Had 30+ overs remaining when the 7th went down. Credit to them for holding on but really we should have won that. We've forgotten how to win test matches.

An expert on everything? Sorry DB10 when have I claimed to have a Ronaldo like skills and played football at a decent level, or Gaelic Football ;). Cricket is my game, pretty lame windup attempt tbh.

With regards to betting, I have learnt more about the gambling industry in the last two years than the previous 30. And believe me these companies stink to high heaven with the way they treat their customers. Matched Betting is a proven way of thumping bookies so when I post stuff here about gambling, yeah there’s a few brags, but I genuinely want to help people who are sick to the back teeth of losing. I have even had one forum member ask me about matched betting. He made good money out of Cheltenham too by the sounds of things.

You’ve just clearly got a bit of a chip on your shoulder with certain posters when as a moderator you should have a neutral opinion of people who post on here, unless they take the piss of course and start extremist claptrap which is fair enough. By the way there is some borderline stuff on the EU thread some has been picked up but not all of it.

Going back to cricket please don’t tell me that the World Series was anything but a Circus, because it was as much about Kerry Packers ego at being denied tv rights for home test matches as anything else. Did you really go to the matches or just go on the wrong day and wonder why they weren’t running and tackling with an oval ball ;).

Haha same old pony from nutflush.

Firstly you don't dictate what we mods do or don't do on here. Best you learn to live with that or maybe just move on because that won't be changing.

Personally I thought the Kerry Packer series was great and was a shot in the arm for cricket. It also was a great middle finger to cricket snobs.

Hilarious you mention the EU thread where you continually insult people that disagree with you or prove you wrong.

And tbh if you want to talk about "pretty lame windup up attempts" you really need to look at childish comments like "Did you really go to the matches or just go on the wrong day and wonder why they weren’t running and tackling with an oval ball". Feeble effort.....

Anyway you have previous for these tedious tit for tat exchanges that go on and on forever on here so I won't be responding to your inevitable tedious reply. Fill your boots.

This is brilliant, MOD leaves an off topic post in football chat for weeks, then moves it into the virtual pub just to prove a point? Jeez then he talks about being childish, you couldn’t make this up.

This tickles me, a great deal DB10. You can’t decide who posts on the forum you know or what they say as long as it’s reasonable. Shame the owner of the gooner puts up with lame MODs ehhh.

Kerry Packer was a media mogul, as you know down the years they tend not to act in anyone’s interest but their own. He didn’t give a shit about cricket. His actions where a reaction to not being given tv rights which he felt was his god given right.
