Depends on what context you are looking at it. In relation to the PL generally, average is about right. Nowhere near as good as the best sides, nowhere near as bad as the worst sides. Somewhere in the middle bunch - a bit better than the likes of Wolves, Everton and Leicester, a bit worse than Chelsea and United. In relation to where we as a club should reasonably expect to be, it is completely fucking garbage.

Aubameyang and Lacazette are not world class but are capable of playing for a better side. Torreira, Sokratis, Ramsey, Bellerin, Monreal, Leno - these are average players in the sense that they are decent enough players to have in the squad but shouldn't be anywhere near key players. Some others the likes of Koscielny, Mkhitaryan, Welbeck aren't really good enough to feature in the squad. Then we have a healthy core of players who have no right to be at a club like us - Mustafi, Xhaka, Iwobi, Cech.

Our squad is miles worse than Chelsea's and United. Our failure to improve at the back and on the road is a real disappointment, and our performances over the last few months have been without justification. But we are about where we should be with this squad, if not a bit better off if we happen to end up with 70 points. Doesn't help with Ramsey repeatedly injured as soon as he hits form and a merry-go-round of defensive injuries first half of the season.

Oh and all this rebuilding in the summer will have to be done without a head of recruitment seeing as we haven’t even fucking bothered replacing the one we binned of earlier in the year.

Fucking joke club :banghead:
He left because he was told that they weren't gonna spend any money on the players he submitted so his role was pointless.

Where do you start

This season how many penalties have Mustafi and Xhaka given away let alone mistakes that have led to goals.

Just today March was going nowhere he made a good run one player in the middle and Xhaka because of his lack of footballing brain and mobility puts his hand on his shoulder and of course he goes down.

To me doesn't matter what our run in looked like on paper we are a bang average side keep Leno,Holding,Torreira and the two strikers the rest sadly we will do well to move on three or four of them.

Our socialist wage bill is a fucking albatross around our necks by the way.

Emery: Top four is priority, not Europa

really? you wouldn't think so on today's performance.

Don't worry lads. We are going to lift the trophy and Spuds will finish 4th banishing them to Europa next year. :barscarf:
Is that what happens if we win the Europa? - that would be hilarious.
No, but 4th place would have to play in the qualifying rounds which start about July
must be why Emery has been prioritising Europa over the league.
the club wont want their US tour being affected this summer

Just watched the highlights on MOTD, yes I'm a sucker for punishment and have to say WTF was xhaka doing - he steamed across on the wrong angle, then with the ref and all the world to see 'tapped' the guys shoulder; it wasn't which brought him down it was his knee striking the oppos leg BUT FFS!!! How fuggin DUMB is he!!!???

Bin him off in the summer along with mustafi, lichtsteiner,, monreal, jenkinson, elneny, ozil and iwobi .....

We are so F.U.C.K.E.D i feel sick to my stomach - That Wig Wearing parasitic cuntbag had better spend some serious doe ... yeah i know as many have already said

Ramsey has shown more passion in his interview than the fucking lot of our players on the pitch, I couldn't give a flying fuck who disagrees but since he's been injured we've massively nose dived.

Good luck to him, he was willing to take 225 thousand fuckin pound LESS A WEEK to stay with us, top man.

And if you're all wondering why you think his impact dipped in the last few years then you only have to look at the shit he was playing with, would frank lampard have been scoring 20 plus goals a season surrounded by shit, no, not a fuckin chance, had Ramsey moved to a better team years ago he would have scored a ton of goals like lampard did.

How many of our midfielders score goals ffs

And any CUNNT defending ozil should be ashamed, he played against a side that only escaped relegation yesterday and he was fuckin shite, Ramsey would have affected the game 100 times for the better for us.

Fuck off dick and fuck off Arsenal

This is why im leaning towards Emery leaving the club. He clearly can't work with the average to shit players we have and isn't going to have the money to replace them, so what's the point? Add to that, Ramsey is gone now and we will replace him with some sub-standard pound land player and next season already looks a lost cause.

Surely ST sales can’t be going that well? The future looks very bleak and judging by the swathes of empty seats at most home matches this season, people can’t be arsed? Arsenal could easily end up 8th or 9th next season. Our defence is relegation standard, our midfield is mid-table standard and our strikers are maybe top 4/6 standard. The fact is we need at least 6 new players of very good quality, that’s about £250m in today’s market. If Dick buys £20m players, we’ll be getting ElNeny/Xhaka quality (or lack of). So I can only see it getting worse unless the impossible happens, Stan putting his hand in his pocket, and that won’t happen. I think things are going to get a lot worse yet!! :?

Agree completely. I worry about where we are going as a club. Young energetic teams like Wolves, Leicester and even Everton could be a big problem for us next year.
We look old and tired and as we know, full of players who wouldn't get in those 3 teams even.
Are we becoming a Spurs before Poch or a Villa or City before the money?
Maybe there is a plan and it will come to light over the summer but I won't hold my breath.
I do think the young players will be involved heavily next season, Nketiah, Willock. Smith-Rowe and Nelson. Many will be shipped out and new faces in.
I'm sure a DOF will also come in. Edu? So all hope is not lost just yet.

Arsenal pulled the plug on Ramsey because they offered £200k a week and he said no he wanted parity with Ozil. It's all very well getting sentimental about someone who stayed with us for a decade but the harsh reality is we can't have players earning ridiculous wages, with the like of Auba/Laca on a lot less. Who would be the next player that wanted £350k a week if we did give in?

Ramsey to give him credit, behaved in an impeccable way given he knew he was leaving for most of the season. He also pulled out some solid performances. It's sad to see him leave but in that 10 years, did we ever see a consistency that would put him up with the likes of Lampard, Gerrard even Bobby Pires. Sadly not.

Fair fucks to Ramsey, he has been very professional this season and has had his best season for us after 2013/14. Has a tendency to turn up and put in performances in big games.

Does it mean we should have paid him what he was asking? No. Doesn’t feel good watching him walk on a free, but it is sadly the right decision having been lumbered with the farcical situation of Ozil on 350k to saunter about playing when he wants and Ramsey having run his contract right down.

Although he is much better than Xhaka, Elneny etc, he isn’t worth that sort of money and if Emery wants to rebuild properly within what he can afford then it means offloading Ozil and letting Ramsey go so that we can start getting some sort of consistent wage structure. Besides, people are being very quick to forget about his fibreglass hamstrings which go at least 2-3 times a season.

Who'd have thought that this time last year we'd be in a potentially worse position a year later?! To lose Rambo for free is a kick in the nuts, add to that welbeck leaving, throw in the loss of the ox who was bossing it for Liverpool before his injury, gnabry who's a Bayern regular ,cazorla ,sanchez, who are we you going to bring in to replace them and who have we brought in,Torreira, that's it! He is no better than Wilshire except that he hasn't got glass ankles,we have 40m to rebuild,we are fucked, proper fucked, those players mentioned above that each and every one of you slagged off as not good enough for Arsenal what would you give to know they'd be playing for Arsenal next season??I'd love to know our first 11 for the opening game of next season, with the exception of Aubameyang and lacazette we will be a squad on a par with Everton,wolves,Watford,6th place is ours if we fancy it if not mid table here we come! Maybe wenger really was the glue that held us together? One thing for sure is that if Wenger was still boss no way would we be losing Ramsey or welbeck,I think the players don't rate emery,I'm giving him next season,if there's no Improvement then he can fuck off and take his bunch of melts with him.i wanted Wenger out with a passion,we knew it would be a rocky road but the results of late are a disgrace and makes you wonder where we are heading

I watched about 65 minutes of the game yesterday and labelling it a shitfest doesn't come close to describing how deplorable it really was. We were that bad I said to my kid that mikki was the best player we had cos at least he showed some willingness and urgency to go at them  I know one clown here has had a pop at the selection of lichsteiner (who was indeed woeful and should be released asap), but I'd love to know who dick could have picked in his place - bellend injured and maitland-niles suspended, cos a manager no real options

We were so bad in soooo many areas yesterday, but fcuk me xhaka and ozil were a fcuking disgrace - no real passion or drive in the bas.tards and their lazy slow passes infuriated me even on the odd times that the passes actually went to one of their team-mates  :censored: Surely there must be some mid-table german club willing to give us some money for xhaka, and personally I would let ozil go for free at this stage.

Even now, the day after the brighton debacle, I am still at a loss on how we couldnt win that game - I dont care what team selection we had or what tactics we used, we had enough quality players to piss over them regardless. This result sums up in a nutshell exactly why we are where we are - we have a mixture of not good enough players and players who are good enough but just dont give a fcuk, and we are going nowhere fast (at least nowhere positive) until every single one of those c.unts are bombed out of our club
