ALL Transfer talk - merged thread

More than likely another "lost in translation" story
probably... but, after a decent start, he was shite as the season went on so you never know.

Maybe - I was putting it down to exhaustion after the world cup and coming into a more physically demanding league.
Not forgetting 'leetle bit jaded'. :D

Chelsea have agreed a deal in principle for their Italian manager Maurizio Sarri to join Serie A club Juventus.

It's on the BBC so it must be true.

Not a good enough player to blow over half of our transfer budget on, so this deal was never gonna happen imo

Looks like the Belgian guy from PSG doesnt fancy us either!
Paying the price for failing to beat either Brighton or Palace to secure clge football!
Two games which showed Emery had learnt nothing after a full plge season
It’s going to get a lot worse next season!

Chelsea getting £5m compensation for a manager they considered sacking....That is good business..

It's going to be one average signing, one gamble signing and a sprinkling of loan deals. I'm bored of next season already and we're still two months away from it starting.

Good - we have a lot of holes/weaknesses in this team/squad, before we even consider wasting what little money we have on a right back

Didn't understand why he's looking at RB, Bellerin and AMN who is an adequate back up for the position. Left side, CB, and DM much more important.

As good a season Fraser had with Bournemouth, to me it had Charlie Adams to Liverpool warning sirens all over it. Carrasco a much better player for slightly less money.

Oh yes.
If he goes with youth, as we think he will, the crowd will give them some leaway.
However, if things have not changed too much and we are not doing well (as we expect) i think the crowd will turn very quickly this season and Emery will start to take some flack.
Very concerned for us this year. Seriously, I'm not so sure we will even be fighting for top 6. I think we could be a West Ham this season. :( :(

More financial genius on display at the club then

https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/football ... -contract/

We have fcuk all money to spend and have many holes to fill, so why not use what little money we have to reward two existing players thus ensuring we have no champions league football or money to offer potential signings  Jesus wept :banghead:

Well, it makes good business sense, as it was either that or use one of abramovich's private jets to fly him home but have it crash on the way. Cost = £27million.
