Modern Football Bol**cks

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Penalty shootouts after a drawn match, I think, is a great idea, with the winner of the shootout gaining a point is a great idea that should be used in league games.

That sounds terrible mate. Really awful.

I thinkk penalty shoot outs are becoming tedious because there are too many of them these days and we have them when we do not need them. Yesterdays for example, why do we need pens in the Charity Shield (yes I still call it that) ? What's wrong with sharing the thing?

The abolition of replays in cup matches means there will be a lot more games decided by pens so please do not bring them into league games too. It sounds like something TV people would try to enforce when they're desperate to contrive some drama ... and so I expect it will happen eventually.

Mesut Ozil’s proposed switch from Arsenal to MLS side DC United could hinge on him striking a deal to open a coffee shop in America.
