As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.
Absolute stone cold penalty to City in the first half......not given...VAR shouldn't have even been needed, Michael Oliver not interested. How do the scum and the dippers get so much luck???
It's almost like the refs think they have to help those 2 clubs because they are the only one's who can stop City.
I don’t understand this, VAR is fucking there to review any calls that falls under VAR; penalty is one of them. Who the fuck cares Oliver ain’t interested, it’s still a shout and it is to be reviewed.
With this logic Oliver was nowhere near the “handball” that led to the goal so why was he called in the earpiece and told to wait for the review.
It’s an absolutely inconsistent joke of a technology. If done, do it right if not scrape it and let’s go back to luck and what the referee spots. Or at max, do like cricket where it’s on the official and they can say yes/no and it gets reviewed.
A draw at anfield (3-3) would leave us level next weekend. Assuming city win of course.
That was some fucking hat trick from Pukki, i fancy naarwich to do the chavs next weekend.
Unlucky but not bad, it would be a loss to City after how it ended.
It'll be good if we get a result (D/W) at Anfield and then do the Scums the week after. We're gonna be right in the mix, have no doubt about 1st September but iffy on next Sat.

Cricket has the review system absolutely nailed, there is no ambiguity, no personal subjectivity, everyone in the ground can see on the big screen if it's out or not out. VAR is a mess and games are going to be running into 10 or 12 minutes of extra time as the season goes on.
And if we go to Anfield playing like we have on the last 2 weekends we are going to lose by 2 or 3 goals. At least!!

Agree with your quotes on VAR i think as its currently implemented its a disaster, but as for the game at Anfield we are going up there, after many recent drubbings with some optimism
Lets see how it pans out.....
