As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.
So we see the return of one of the proper teams of yesteryear and I for one welcome their return. For some reason I always think that the premier league is a better place with teams like Villa, Forest and Leeds in it. I just don't have much time for the Orcs, Swanseas, Bournemouths of the world.
3-1 to The Arsenal. Sideshow Bob to concede another stupid penno. I heard he's hoping to set a PL record this season.
Villa didn't look like scoring against Wham on Monday...But hey when you need a goal along comes Arsenal. 2-1 bome win..2-0 at half time, gift a stupid goal hang on for win.
Well I doubt that even Emery could fuck this one up, although I’m sure he’ll try his best! 3-2!
Bigger test next week against an under pressure Solskjaer and a team that even more bereft of leadership and ideas than we do!
Dick did promote Willock after a good preseason and the absence of Torreira, so with laca out and Saka's good link up play with Auba on Thursday, i wonder if he jumps ahead of Reiss in the pecking order.
I thinking picking Saka to start tomorrow might also go a little way to placate the crowd a bit more - as it would be a sign that we are really going to go at Villa.
Wingers like strikers thrive on confidence, it would be a good day to start him, but i doubt he will.
Some interesting fixtures tomorrow and a win should put us into the top 4. It's about time we gave somebody a good doing at home and the old GD could do with a bit of a boost too. 8 for and against isn't too impressive.
I am going for a 4-1 win, today is the day Pepe will break his duck and get a brace.
Leno; Maitland-Niles, Sokratis, Luiz, Kolasinac; Guendouzi, Xhaka Ceballos; Pepe, , Saka; Aubameyang that would do for me.
I would love to see Saka keep his place after his superb performance against Frankfurt. Some are concerned about his age but Saka did more against Frankfurt than Pepe, Ozil or Nelson have done all season, now ain't that the truth.
