Maybe arteta is saying this stuff about xhaka to get a response. Personally, given our links to rabiot looks like arteta will be reasonably pleased to move xhaka on.
Maybe he has a cunning plan to drive Xhaka's sale price up by thirty bob.

Xhaka sale agreed, obviously the comments were some sort of tactic to either pressurise the deal to go through or jack up the price a few quid.

Either way it’s work and the useless c.unt is gone :barscarf:

IF rumours are to be believed, there is a deal agreed between Hertha and xhaka, but not between the 2 clubs

No way he stays after after agreeing a move especially as he’s despised by the fan base. It’s over

Ironic that xhaka finally kind of turned up these last 2 games for the first time in his 3 and half years as an Arsenal player and now hes leaving,I just hope we replace with an upgrade cos I tell you now if we have to watch guendouzi playing sideways and backwards and falling over like a big mincer for the rest of the season then I'm done with it all

Arteta is two faced according to xhaka and his agent

https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/football ... -transfer/

My concern AGAIN, is that arteta seems desperate to hold on to him for rest of this season, despite the confident proclaimations from my 2 buddies above this post   Xhaka and his agent are gonna need to be extremely forceful to get out in January cos everything said about arteta suggests a man who wont back down when his mind is made up.
Cant understand why the club would turn down £22m for a player who transfer value is going to continue to slide

If we arent bringing anybody in as a replacement then holding on to xhaka is essential as as shit as he is we literally have nobody else to fill that role unless we put the equally as stupid luiz in there for the season remainder

It also sums up the bloke that he is cowardly forcing his way out on these terms - agreeing terms with a club that haven’t even approached us and then getting his agent to announce it via the media.

An absolute skid mark of a footballer and even more so of a ‘leader’.

We will undoubtedly be better off without him. Two games where he has put in a non-disastrous performance seems to have erased some people’s memories completely.

I'll see your Sun gossip, sale for 22mil, and raise you

Arsenal have reportedly informed Hertha Berlin that they are not prepared to sell Granit Xhaka during the January transfer window for anything under £34m.
According to Sky in Italy, Hertha have offered £29.9m for the Switzerland international.

Arteta is keen to sign a centre-back to improve things at the back.

Boateng is on his radar, with the Bayern Munich star likely to be available in the New Year.
The Germany international is a Bayern legend but has managed just eight appearances this season under both Niko Kovac and Hans-Dieter Flick.

The Gunners reportedly have Rugani as a backup.
The Italy international has struggled for game time at Juventus this season, making just three appearances since Maurizio Sarri’s arrival as manager.

For boating see luiz - two well past it centre backs, whose motivation is minimal and is just interested in seeing out their careers.
If we intend signing a centre back, please sign someone a few years younger with something to prove at least
