Never been a big fan of Arteta but he deserved better today, feel really sorry for him.

Mustafi should not play again, how can he allow a striker to turn like that on the edge of the 6 yard box?

Same as that - the team looked well drilled and organised today, and players sacrificed themselves to work hard for the team, and we were done out of that game pure and simple. Yes we made mistakes, and in the last 30 minutes you could see that we were caving under the mental pressure of not winning lately, but I will still argue that the vast, vast majority of players played really well today

Agreed, strangely think they can draw something positive from todays effort....fate conspired against them...and a *word censored* of a referee

Yep, laca and saka looked tired the last twenty. But our thread bare squad meant no one to replace them.

I guess martinelli was sick or injured ?

Shit ref and chambers loss was huge.

Luis defended well today to be fair to him - very focused.

We are a mid table club right now. Tets has made a difference though, you could see that today.

I have by and large held off criticising Willock, but today he showed me a guy that isn't good enough - losing a game with not long to go, the very least you can expect is for the subs to come in and work hard closing down for the players who were out on their knee's, but he strolled around like he didn't give a fcuk. He pulled out of a 50/50, and was simply a lazy fcuker - get rid

Yeah, disappointing result (again) and longer term it’s only results that matter. However, players actually seemed to give a shit at least and hopefully are buying into the ‘energy’ that Arteta keeps going on about

Funny how those who criticised Emery's lack of defensive nous now seem to be claiming there was some sort of major improvement. Must be just me then who saw us pegged into our own half for the entire second half, concede 10 chances and 65% possession against a team who until today have lost every game they've gone behind in

Clueless Arteta, utterly clueless. Schooled by one season wonder Lumpard

Pawson the ref is a Disgrace.
The FA and the media will just file it under being a refereeing error, when in reality it's the ref refusing to do his job. At the start of the game, Nelson was heading into the box and got dragged back, and the ref didn't give a yellow, then for a similar incident gave Guendouzi a yellow, minutes later, that set the tone for a clueless and incompetent refereeing performance, but let's not forgot, Pawson's boss is Mike fucking Riley.

Yeah.. Martinelli Injured/Concussion.

The improvements are there to see, we need to improve a whole lot more and ensure those improvements are for the full 90mins.

Ref was a disgrace didn't do his job and should be made to explain his lack of balance in decisions , especially what should have been a 2nd yelow (red)

Mustafi & Willock Not good enough get shot asap.

Just feel gutted...especially watching that FATFUCK Lumpalard celebrating at the end as if they deserved it, did they fuckk. :( :banghead: :cussing:

Totally agree. He also said other than the first 35 mins that Chelsea bossed the game and deserved the win - which is absolute bollocks.

Fundamentally we are nowhere near fit enough to play this high press game. It takes time to get that fitness like Liverpool have, and we are starting from a position where players like Ozil, Lacazette, Torreira and Guendouzi aren’t fit enough to start with, never mind for this level of pressing.

Get used to us clinging on a bit. Arteta needs to come up with some way to counteract that - leaving Lacazette and Saka on the pitch was ridiculous and certainly in the former case contributed to us not winning.
