Pawson reffing the scouserobbers v manure game and yet again he is AWFUL. He needs to to be sacked. Mike Riley still taking backhanders then from liVARpool this time.

Pools potential 49th game undefeated is against City. How does it work out like that.

Salah is just like Bale. Strong as an ox when he needs to be (no chance of him throwing himself to the ground at being brushed against for that second goal) but gets blown over by the wind when it suits him.
Managed to ensure he got his token dive in with a theatrical fall against Matic. Free-kick rather than a yellow obviously.

Uh oh someone let their 12 year old little brother play the keyboard warrior on their pc......Oxfordroad80s wrote: ↑Sat Jan 18, 2020 8:05 pmFuck David Dein..you think we were talking about David Dein, running round Runcorn rowing with Everton, I don't do patronising or spellcheck...,Just here to stop Y I d or Millwall ratsSutch2 wrote: ↑Sat Jan 18, 2020 7:59 pmFuck are you talking about, mind games? It’s spelled pseudo, mate patronising as fuck, maybe someone from the 50s would’ve said the same to you.Oxfordroad80s wrote: ↑Sat Jan 18, 2020 7:38 pmWhat a load of bollox...I've been going since 81...I love my club...it weren't escapism it was fun fantastic we were loving the club football win lose or draw and yes, the clothes, music, violence.....so all this 2020 suedo mind games....If you weren't there you ain't got a clueSutch2 wrote: ↑Sat Jan 18, 2020 7:28 pmI think David Dein was partly to blame for that, basically creating the PL and turning football into the commercial monster it is now, although it might have happened anyway if he hadn't have done it. I saw some website quote him a while ago, I don't think my words are an exact summary but it was something about how he wanted to overhaul the First Division into the PL, he mentioned that he saw how the Americans done it or something and he wanted to copy them, so that fits what you've said about the Americans doing it before us.Clash wrote: ↑Sat Jan 18, 2020 11:42 am
Spot on about that 30 for 30 series mate.
I knew virtually nothing about American sports before watching those documentaries but I have been glued to a lot of them. They havent made me want to follow the sport but I absolutely love historic stuff like that and probably enjoyed it far more for not having a clue what was gonna happen next. One of the best ones I saw was the 3 part Celtics v Lakers rivalry. Some great footage and history, even though I never watch basketball.
The consistent theme throughout them all though is how much better sport in general was in the past. The drama was less contrived and the stories and controversies far more gripping. Like with football, many Ice Hockey fans say their game was a much better spectator sport in the 1970s and early 80s and that the atmosphere isn't the same anymore. The greed and commercialism that has damaged football for many of us probably happened 15 years or so earlier in US sports. The Americanisation of our game is clear but I hadn't given much thought to how it all happened over there first.
I wasn't around in the 70s or 80s, but I've understood that football was escapism then. Apparently people who didn't like football thought game-going football fans were all thugs or louts, and that's the way the fans preferred it - no outsiders getting involved or milking the sport. Then the outsiders sunk their fangs into it and turned it into a cashcow, and now you have betting adverts depicting someone who doesn't like football attending a 'match' as they call it sitting down and barely celebrating a goal, making it seem like football was always like that, or that what it's like now with the shit atmosphere and same old songs is so superior to before. Such a massive shame.
And look up the David Dein thing, too, if that’s what you’re saying is bollocks as well.

Re: other matches this weekend
i just want Liverpool to win the league now as soon as possible to get it out of the way.
there is just the possibility that they also might then ease up and lose a few matches.
ideally they win the league BEFORE they play Manchester City.
just had a look at the fixtures and there is a slight chance they could win the title at Everton on 14th March or more likely at home to Palace on March 21st

If winning the league at everton is likely, it will either be empty of home fans or filled with liverpool fans as evertonians will be selling their tickets en masse just not to be there. I'd find it funny if no home supporters turned up for that.Gunner Rob wrote: ↑Mon Jan 20, 2020 1:08 pmi just want Liverpool to win the league now as soon as possible to get it out of the way.

Scouseland being blown of the face of the earth would be more desirable for me.Gunner Rob wrote: ↑Mon Jan 20, 2020 1:08 pmi just want Liverpool to win the league now as soon as possible to get it out of the way.

Amazing isn't it put a premier league club in the middle of a shit hole and people will come from far and wide.
Seriously though, Pool overcoming our record would be another slap in the face for Arsenal fans that have had to put up with a steady decline since 2004. It would make this season the worst for me since I was a kid. I couldn't even put the sides of the early/mid 80s and mid 90s behind this bunch of jokers.

Re: other matches this weekend
If you think back to our Invincibles season after we had won the league the foot deffo came off the pedal a tad and we scraped through a few of those final games.
If the victims must win it (who is going to stop them in this shit league?) then I agree it's best to get the inevitable pain of that out of the way early and hopefully they will lose a few games towards the end.
Mind you I still think they will lose at least one before they win the league.
