Never ones to miss out on a moment of misery are they. As you say, perhaps they could have found some time over the last 35 years to remember the Juventus supporters that their club murdered. They just can't help themselves can they. If you are going to do something then at least have the brain cells to come up with something original rather than just a straight copy of the NFL protest.

So the Spuds have taken a £175 million loan with the Bank of England? At the last count, Joe Lewis is worth over 4 billion! Seems a bit odd but the timing of their new shithole currently empty for months will hopefully see them slide even further into debt. And they ain’t getting Champions League!

I think we should stick to things like this that we can agree on tux
Have to admit that I was delighted to see that the spuds are in the shit. All the little extras like the NFL games just fading away into the distance is great news. The longer they fail to get into the CL the better as the existing debt for the swamp coupled with the BofE loan is going to cause them problems.

Apparently harry kane is coming to the wescue!
He's written a book for children on how not to speakAND they're going to sell phials of his copious saliva to spud fans at £10 for 2cc's..
Apparently the up and coming return of the satirical puppet show Spitting Image were asked if they would be doing a character based on harry kane and they said it was too expensive to try and re-produce all that saliva AND Dangerous as the Thames Barriers can only handle so much.

The miseryside derby has been given the go ahead to be played at goodison
Both clubs are confident that fans of these two “great clubs” will respect the rules for not visiting stadiums when games are being played behind closed doors
Let the carnage begin!

I read that Sadiq Khan wants the North London match played outside the capital because of the possibility of crowds gathering . Didn't realise we were playing in Whitehall or Parliament square . Oh wait !

Watched a programme on Sky Documentaries tonight called Howard's Way , the story of Everton's rise from relegation fodder to Champions in a very short time...The 1984/85 season was a remarkable one for them. Champions, European Cup Winners Cup winners and FA Cup Finalists..Yet their season was marred and overshadowed by Heysel. For the first time ever I heard the anguish and anger if Everton supporters laid bare. Now obviously the loss of life was far more important than the football repercussions, but the anger at Liverpool fans was raw, even still is. The attitude from some fans and players was, "we done nothing wrong, why are we being punished?".
I have always had a soft spot for Everton, they were the team in my lifetime that firstly and consistently threatened Liverpool in the 80s. What they started, Arsenal finished even if the pundits say Fergie knocked Liverpool off their perch , Liverpool were a busted flush by the time Man Utd won their title in 1993.

I'll have to try and find that, thanks for mentioning it BWKBradywasking wrote: ↑Sun Jun 14, 2020 10:58 pmWatched a programme on Sky Documentaries tonight called Howard's Way , the story of Everton's rise from relegation fodder to Champions in a very short time...The 1984/85 season was a remarkable one for them. I agree with what you say about Everton. I think a lot of our fans have a soft spot for that Everton side (for the reasons you highlight) and I think its mutual. Ive spoken to a few Everton fans over the years and Anfield 89 is often something they would remember fondly.
We hear all this shite about red and blue mixing together and how one brother is blue and the other red. And while that may be true there must be some hatred there too that we do not hear much about. How could there not be? Everton have numerous reasons to hate Liverpool, on and off the field. And Everton could easily justify claiming their club has more pedigree once you look beyond the media hype. The very thing that built Liverpool's name (conquering Europe) is the very thing Liverpool's fans prevented that Everton team of the 80s being able to emulate when their time came. Not forgetting our team of the same period too!
As for Man United knocking Liverpool off their perch ... that has always been the sort of selective bollocks that surrounds Man United where they take credit for something that was done before them. Like how we hear so much about the fucking class of 92 but rarely anything of our own crop of talented youngsters that won TWO titles before the Neville's, Beckham, Scholes and Butt could grow pubes (probably not Giggs though the hairy fucking ! )
