Seems like years since we won on the opening day of the season.
I was enraged when he was first linked with the job and then dubious when appointed 18 months later.
Now I have a really good feeling, that in Arteta we may have the best young manager in the country and maybe even better than that.

Fulham are gash but our attitude has been spot on and we’ve dispatched them with ease. There will be a lot tougher challenges coming out over the coming weeks but you can’t beat 3 points on the opening day especially away from home.

Onwards.
That is precisely what has changed - the attitude, commitment, work rate - chasing down, tracking back, putting effort in.

I know Gabriel got MOM and he had a good debut after that dodgy leaving of the back pass, but in truth it was probably Willian - 3 assists, including a gorgeous cross field pass for Auba when he could have took the easy option of NMIles or Xhaka and he hit the post from a free kick too. And he tracked back more that Pepe often does.

Lacazette worked his nuts off as the hold up player, and that is why he is so important to the team , glad for him to grab an early season goal.

Holdings passing is still piss poor

Said we are top of the league, we are top of the league :barscarf: :barscarf: :barscarf:

Didnt see it as was driving to Swansea and back and only managed to hear bits of commentary but apart from a few early mix ups it sounded like we were relatively comfortable which for us on the opening day is a rare thing. Out of interest how did Elniny get on, no one seems to have mentioned him..... which is either good or bad depending :box:

This could be a more interesting season than usual for us and may actually last beyond Christmas in the league

Cracking 3pts :barscarf: the weaknesses and strong points of the team are glaringly obvious. If we can get a decent amount of coin for the catwalk queen we should bite their hands off.

Good win on the first day of the season. Auba's goal with Willian's assist was awesome!!
Well done to Gabriel on his debut too.

Gabriel joins a list of Arsenal players who scored on their Premier League debut..Adebayor, Nasri, Lacazette, Vermaelen, Aubameyang...any more?

Bejesus said Rodders, he sung it so well,
I think I’ll get up and I’ll sing it again,
So Rodders got up and he sang it again,
