Just heard that it will be confirmed tomorrow that the next World Cup finals will feature 48 teams and 104 matches ( up from 64)

Re: Modern Football Bol**cks
Its not only the number of teams and games in this the world cup, the distance being covered will be ridiculous, its spread across 3 countries, Mexico, US and Canada, the fucking distances involved for teams will be idiotic, christ even if it were just being held in mainland US again the travelling is mental..... You need to be Elon Musk just to afford to travel to a couple of different matches..... football for the fans my arse, 'money, money, money in a FIFA World'
Edmonton in Alberta to Mexico City is a 10hr flight, or 2995 miles if you fancy a drive

Re: Modern Football Bol**cks
so the group stage will now feature 72 matches
and all it will do is reduce the number of teams down from 48 to 32
top 2 in each group qualify with 8 3rd best teams - in other words the first couple of weeks will be a complete waste of time

Qzil the bug eyed lazy fecker has retired, it happened years ago when Lord Wonga gave him another lucrative contract, but he's only just announced it!
What a waste of talent, can't be bothered, footballers like him put the game to shame, going round clubs getting paid crazy money & giving nothing in return. Good feckin riddance!
Feck off Ozil!

Looking back at some of the team goals we scored with him. Easy to forget how little he worked though and that cost us repeatedly.Almunia is a clown wrote: ↑Thu Mar 23, 2023 12:11 amQzil the bug eyed lazy fecker has retired, it happened years ago when Lord Wonga gave him another lucrative contract, but he's only just announced it!

Re: Modern Football Bol**cks
we indulged Ozil for too long - he represented everything which was wrong about the latter Wenger years.
did not put in the effort and so we were just not good enough.
and I say this as someone who admired Ozil at the time, because at his best he was a brilliant footballer, just didnt have the work ethic required for the PL, unlike Odegaard.

Re: Modern Football Bol**cks
Funny with Ozil though - i remember the stats most seasons would show that he covered more distance than virtually any other Arsenal player - also one of the highest of any midfielder in the league. Was the issue that he was lazy (I didn’t think so) or was it more that he was so noticeably lacking in passion? He struck me as the type of player who would leave the field beaming inside with happiness if he’d made/scored a beautiful goal, or frustrated if he’d not personally created a breakthrough, while the actual result - draw, three points etc, would be second to that.

Play getting stopped/brought back if a player gets hit by the ball, no matter the severity or where it hits them Fucking embarrassing

No youdullardCunt, because of your despotic attitude and control over the club in your last 12 years you left it In A Fucking Mess.
