any tips on Dortmund?

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Fucking gutted I can't make this.

On a side note, I see Arsenal & Thomas Cook are offering a trip for the bargain price of £303

I'll be staying at the etap hotel at Dortmund Airport which still offers rooms on the night of sept 13th, prices from 47 euros.
Don't expect much of it as it is an Accord budget hotel.
I've searched all affordable hotels in Dortmund on booking.com but nothing available anymore or you'll end up in the nearby town of Bochum
Cab tarif from the Airport to the City or viceversa is 22 euros but expect a 12% rise between 11PM - 06AM
Easyjet serves this airport from Luton on a daily basis.

Now the more important part; The pre-match piss up locations!

What I found;
Limerick Irish Pub it is still there on google streetview but it seems to be closed according to recent posts on rating sites !!

Boomerang, Aussie Pub Kuckelke 20 opens from 4PM till 1AM

The Leeds Pub, Reinoldistraße 2

Irish Pub Church Hoher Wall 34

The Limerick Irish Pub is indeed gone. An investor bought the buildung and the Pub had to close earlier this year.

You should check this out, someone mentioned it before in another thread:

I should have booked earlier, but didn't know I would get a ticket, flights are very expensive now and very few hotels to choose from. May have to go with the official trip rather than risk ending up sleeping on the streets.

Try A&O hostels, there were still beds available last time I checked! Right next to the railway station

well mate, i booked my flight to bremen as soon as the date was confirmed (not on arse.com though, they took forever) so it only cost £30 on ryan air, and took a punt that i'd be able to get a ticket on here, turns out I'm getting 3 :barscarf:

I haven't. Still a few days to go though.

Booked my hostel today, near Hauptbahnhof and one of the Irish pubs mentioned in this topic. :barscarf:

Hi Batflyer, my location is Netherlands too, I don't expect to receive them by mail but to collect them at the Westfalenstadium in the afternoon. Same procedure they had at the match vs Standard Luik a few years ago.

We had to collect them at the ground because there was a postal strike before the Liège game.
No postal strik this time so I think you'd be better off phoning the club!
