The 2012-2013 Season Prediction Thread

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

The 2012-2013 Season Prediction Thread

Post by frankbutcher »

This can be Arsenal and non-Arsenal related. Make your predictions here. Deadline is first day of the season. We will then look back and hand out some well-dones and some kickings ( :box: ) at the end of the season.

I'm going for RVP to be top scorer again (in Italy).
Wilshire to make his comeback in March 2013 and make less than 10 appearances all season.

I predict Mr. butcher will start at least 3 more pathetic vanity threads.
I predict that no matter how bad our season might be, we'll never see "the banner" at the Grove.

Predict Wilshere will start more than 3 games but not many more

Wilshere to have an injury riddled season.
RVP to stay but be nowhere near the levels he was this year.
Diaby to start less than ten games.
Ryo Miyaichi to be this season's Chamberlain.
Chamberlain to struggle as he plays more and more and teams begin to look out for him.
Koscielny to have another storming season.
Santos to have a good season.

Arsenal to finish fourth, not effectively challenge for the title, and win nothing. Knocked out in CC away to a Championship side where we send a load of lightweight kids and they outfight us. FA Cup we will have a run and get knocked out in the Quarters the first time we play a top four side. CL we will get knocked out in the R16/QF/semi the first time we draw one of Europe's real heavyweights. Same old, same old.

I predict that next season will be the one I finally have that nervous breakdown I've been flirting with the over the last few years. Almost looking forward to it in a way.

Wilshere 15 starts

Carling Cup semi-final

F.A Cup final

3rd place finish

Van Persie doesn't extend contract but plays for us in 12/13

Oxlade makes CAM position his own

Podolski has a good first season, 10+ goals and 9 assists

Gervinho perks up a bit, still not quite at the levels required

RvP to sling his hook
Wilshere to miss the whole season
Wenger to completely abandon playing anyone in defence
3 average free transfers to join the club on masive wages
Diaby to have a moment of clarity, retire and become a radical preacher
