Cazorla was absolutely outstanding yesterday. His use of the ball was in a different league and he seems to make the right decision and play the pass at exactly the right weight 90% of the time

Cazorla is the perfect player to have against 10 men. He's so intelligent and as you say uses the ball so wisely. Generally doesn't try and force the pass if it's not there and will happily let it go and move into space to receive it straight back. He's also got that deceptive burst of pace that Cesc has. Also helps that he's just an all-round immense footballer with two great feet and a fantastic brain.

Giroud picked up two great assists but I personally thought he was feckin useless first half, ball seemed to be bouncing off him a la Nicky B.

Agree that he's not good enough to be our lone striker. Tbh from having had a fair few games now I really don't think he's good enough to be a first-choice striker for us (if we want to have any ambition, which we clearly don't). Compare him to the options City and United have on the bench and it's very difficult to say otherwise.

But we are never going to get the best out of him playing on his own up front. Never, he just hasn't got the attributes for it by a long shot. I will quite happily write him off as fucking shit if he plays consistently poorly with a partner up top but yet another player to suffer from Arsene's patented "Square Pegs, Round Holes" formation that has seen so much success.

I go with Santi today, played some sublime balls. Jack good as well bombing forward and played some good balls himself. Santi just shaded it.
