the potential postman...STAMPS his authority on games..FIRST CLASS DELIVERYS .. welcome to the 2013 summer transfer window..This signing is reality.. I would agree the lad should be given a chance , but that chance should include learning from a top-class striker. sadly there isn't one at Arsenal (with due respect to the German played on the left wing) and I am not convinced there will be before September..

Chamakh would have missed it.
Re: WE'VE GOT HIM....
The problem with this signing is that it reinforces the view that Wenger will not change despite the 8 seasons of failure. Another identikit signing:
-Young
-Talented (no doubt?)
-French African
-Ligue Deux
and to top it all off
Perma-crocked
Are they cloning Diabies over there?
Just give the impression Wenger is sticking to what he knows, so prepare for another Groundhog season.

Re: WE'VE GOT HIM....
He's been coming for ages, people really do over react.
Be interesting to see if the doom merchants have actually seen him play?
He's had injury problems, so did Marc Overmars and Kanu had a hole in his heart which meant nobody would touch him. Obviously he isn't that level, but not every pleayer who has had issues in the past turns out to be Diaby.
Again not saying this is a great signing, haven't seen enough of him or even any of him, just not going to berate the lad just yet.

To be fair it looks like we beat off the Post Office to capture the kid.
Maybe the Post Office wouldn't guarantee him a starting place.

Royal Mail is almost Real Madrid in Spanish... maybe that's why we snapped him up? we though Real were after him.EC3 wrote:To be fair it looks like we beat off the Post Office to capture the kid.

Re: WE'VE GOT HIM....
Sounds like hes worth the risk since hes arriving on a free. With his undoubted talent and potential he could be the next Henry or Anelka but with his injury record- which is why hes coming on a free- he could be the next Diaby, but I'll give him a chance

Oh the hysteria!
FFS, the kid MIGHT turn out ok. Who knows? My only problem is if this is the only type of signing we make this summer. In and of itself, there is no harm in bringing in young players on a free, you need a squad in the modern game, BUT it has to compliment buying in top quality experienced players as well.

Can't we get rid of the first diaby before we get the next one?goonerwalker wrote:Sounds like hes worth the risk since hes arriving on a free. You've listed "talented" like it's a problem!bunch wrote:The problem with this signing is that it reinforces the view that Wenger will not change despite the 8 seasons of failure. Another identikit signing:
