REVEALED! The Premier League's quietest fans...

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

The atmosphere at our place is nearly always non-existent but a poll where other fans vote is hardly conclusive...

Well at least we haven't stooped to the lows of playing piped atmosphere over the speakers like they do at Anfield!

I suspect many of our new supporters (should I call them customers?) probably like it being a bit quiet. They don't want the silly game to interfere with their day trip. They have important things to think about such as "has little Tommy been to all of the club merchandise shops" and "I'm so close to the next level of (insert shite free i-Phone game here)".

I miss the days of "the surge". That magnificent feeling of being on one part of the north bank only for Arsenal to score and you end up on another part much nearer the front. Those were the days!

It's the same everywhere, including Anfield with it's famous "atmosphere". Our away support is absolutely superb though

We all know it can be quiet at times, but so are a lot of places. New type of fan as mentioned. However, it came via Talkshite, which just loves to knock us, so ignore it.

Are you calling gav or the original author a scummer?

And yes our home support is fucking awful. Far worse now than the Library ever was. Our away fans make a great noise but at home our singers and chanters are too spread out amongst tourists and JCL's. :|

Our home support is mostly shit, but that's obvious, what is far more annoying is the notion that some of the others in the league actually have good support, the likes of Stoke or Liverpool etc.

Goto a match pretty much anywhere in Europe, especially Poland/Turkey/Greece, even ANY game in the Bundesliga and then tell me fucking Stoke has a good home atmosphere  Always makes me chuckle

It's England where the atmosphere sucks, not specifically Arsenal

In other breaking news, water is wet,sh*t is smelly and 'big' club totteringham have won the league less times than little old wolverhampton wanderers.

Suprising how this survey comes out after DVD only just slagged off his own fans for being quiet. That poor sports station's agenda becomes more transparent with every passing day.

Our home support is disgraceful, the only songs most people know are "and it's Arsenal" or "Arsenal, Arsenal, Arsenal". But Tuesday proved to me one reason it's like that, disgraceful stewarding in block 19 whenever something positive is happening from our fans. The bias to shown to away fans over home fans is shocking, and with the c**t stewards not letting people back in after HT was ridiculous. Old school English fan culture is dead, which is the most evident in our ground out of the lot. Germany are leading the way right now and we need to be more like them, but as soon as anything of that sort starts up over here you just know the old timers will hate it.
